Successful completion will lead to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. What You Will Study You will receive 20 days of protected learning time; this consists of seven taught days in the university, four days to complete a comprehensive questionnaire and nine days to be negotiated with your sign off mentor. The study days allow time to enhance and develop your understanding of healthcare delivery in a variety of settings in the UK context. You will also be expected to attend a supervised placement and complete the required clinical competencies as set by the NMC standards; Professional and Ethical practice, Care Delivery, Care Management, Personal and Professional Development. How You Will Study A blended learning approach will be adopted. Delivery of information will be via a combination of the following lectures, tutorials, workshops activity, seminar presentations, supportive teaching in clinical practice, self directed learning. A participative and interactive approach will be adopted to facilitate student sharing of expertise acknowledging that the students are already registered nurses in another country. Course Length The programme is part-time and runs for three to six months depending on the NMC requirements and considerations for registration. Prospects Possible Career Options On successful completion of this overseas nursing programme you will be able to register and practice in the UK as a Nurse (on condition of satisfying NMC criteria and eligibility to practice). Entry Requirements Effective registration in the country of training. Decision letter from the NMC regarding supervised practice. An arranged placement in a clinical area which meets the standards set by the NMC. An average score of 7.0 in all four categories achieved in one sitting in the academic version of the IELTS test. Satisfactory visa either Tier 2 work visa or a Tier 4 student visa.
