Integrating the Governances


Multiple separate governance initiatives have been developed during the last decennium. Organisations need however to integrate these initiatives and ensures the governance components interact to facilitate and improve the direction and the control of the enterprises: Enterprise Governance ensures the implementation of an adequate organisational structure and related corporate processes; People Governance introduces the human dimension in all stages of the decision-making process; IT Governance ensures that IT investments and projects contribute to the creation of business value; Data Governance ensures data are transformed into decisions supporting information. Context

context is a pre requisite. The values, the ethics and the code of conduct act as a foundation for the governance principles. The business strategy is realised by establishing the mission, the vision and by achieving the objectives IT investments and projects contribute to the achievement of the strategy

Value is created through the appropriate realisation of the investments and the projects. Communication informs all stakeholders in a adequate form at the right moment. The adequate relational mechanisms between the stakeholders have to be implemented. Integration of the key performance indicators into a Balanced Scorecard, composed of 4 quadrants: Business contribution, Customer orientation, Internal process excellence and Future orientation.
