Greeting Comrades Once again the month is proving to be very busy for officers and members alike. We attended the 9th District Conference on February 4th in Chippewa Falls. Emphasis was on community recruiting and six of our members received recruitment pins for their hard work. It was also announced that Post 10818 will receive the Red Carpet Award at the Mid-winter Conference on February 17th and 18th in Baraboo, WI for being one of the most outstanding Posts in the state. Our committees have been meeting throughout the month organizing our upcoming pancake breakfast on April 22 and our first VFW sponsored 5K & 10-Mile run on Memorial weekend. Any input would be greatly appreciated by our general membership. Just a remindermeat raffles are ongoing at local establishments and your attendance supporting these events would make a difference. Our third annual awards banquet was well attended and everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you to all who helped or organized this. We had a very special guest, Larry Kutschma, State Commander. Larry presented our Veteran of the Year Award to Dave Sharretts; Job well done Dave. Awards were also given to everyone who volunteered to help Post 10818 and our community. You have earned these awards because of your hard work and dedication to our Veterans. Thank you for exceeding all expectations and your service is greatly welcomed. I would like to send out my sincere apology to anyone we missed or overlooked at the banquet that should have received an award. Your hard work and dedication was not forgotten and is recognized and we are truly sorry you were not recognized that night. For updates on events and current Post pictures check our Facebook page or drop by for coffee at the Post on Monday, Wednesday or Friday 9am-12pm. Dave Green, Commander

Greetings Sisters, I would like to begin by welcoming our newest LIFE MEMBER YVONNE LANGNESS!! She is the sister of Commander, Dave Green. Welcome Yvonne! Please pay special attention to all areas of the newsletter. There are many upcoming activities that the VFW is planning or holding that we will be needed for, but there is not enough room for me to list. These will be discussed at upcoming meetings as they become closer, as well as phone calls for your help. Please consider helping them out, as this is one area of why the Ladies Auxiliary was formed. I hope to have all the info for the sweaters, as well as an order form to get them ordered at this months meeting. I hope to see you all at the February 28th meeting!
Stacy Schwan,
President
