Part I. A. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MOVIE

WHAT THE BLEEP is a new type of film which is part documentary, part story, and part elaborate and has inspiring visual effects and animations. The protagonist, Amanda, played by Marlee Matlin, finds herself in a fantastic Alice in Wonderland experience when her daily, uninspired life literally begins to unravel, revealing the uncertain world of the quantum field hidden behind what we consider to be our normal, waking reality, a professional photographer whose unfortunate favorite pastime seems to be chain-popping antidepressants, What the Bleep's story line is a simple tale of personal transformation from self-hatred to selfacceptance with some unusual characters offering the protagonist helpful information along the way. What isn't simple about this hybrid documentary's narrative element is the way it's presented: peeking out here and there between bursts of interview footage and grand CGI tours of quantum and cellular realms, the plot is initially hard to figure out. The longer you watch, however, the more What the Bleep's complex docudrama blend starts to make sense, and Amanda's transformative journey is recognized as the essential meandering line connecting all the other dots. She is literally plunged into a swirl of chaotic occurrences, while the characters she encounters on this odyssey reveal the deeper, hidden knowledge she doesn t even realize she has asked for. Like every hero, Amanda is thrown into crisis, questioning the fundamental premises of her life that the reality she has believed in about how men are, how relationships with others should be, and how her emotions are affecting her work isn t reality at all! As Amanda learns to relax into the experience, she conquers her fears, gains wisdom, and wins the keys to the great secrets of the ages, all in the most entertaining way. She is then no longer the victim of circumstances, but she is on the way to being the creative force in her life. Her life will never be the same. The fourteen top scientists and mystics interviewed in documentary style serve as a modern day Greek Chorus. In an artful filmic dance, their ideas are woven together as a tapestry of truth. The thoughts and words of one member of the chorus blend into those of the next, adding further emphasis to the film s underlying concept of the interconnectedness of all things. The chorus members act as hosts who live outside of the story, and from this Olympian view, comment on the actions of the characters below. They are also there to introduce the Great Questions framed by both science and religion, which divides the film into a series of acts. Through the course of the film, the distinction between science and religion becomes

increasingly blurred, since we realize that, in essence, both science and religion describe the same phenomena. The film employs animation in order for its viewers to realize the radical knowledge that modern science has unearthed in recent years. Powerful cinematic sequences explore the innerworkings of the human brain. Quirky animation introduces us to the smallest form of consciousness in the body the cell.

B. LEARNINGS FROM THE MOVIE

The movie tells how people are affected by the thing that surrounds us. One of the character said that We're living in a world where all we see is the tip of the iceberg the classical tip of an immense quantum mechanical iceberg, an another one added that You really have to recognize that even the material world around us the chairs, the tables, the rooms, the carpet, camera included all of these are nothing but possible movements of consciousness. This means that the movie fed us with a wealth of paradigm-shattering information, being somehow mysteriously attuned to whatever frequency they're broadcasting on and subconsciously picking up on their brief insights. This eventually leads us to the realization that in order to change our life, we need to change the way we think about it. We need to embrace a new worldview, a new paradigm one in which quantum physics, biochemistry, mind, emotions, God, and everything in between are interconnected in a seamless matrix of infinite potentials that is capable of being radically altered by thought alone. The movie is related to our subject Philosophy 22 because it wanted to make a spiritually uplifting and scientifically educational film one that would appeal to mainstream audiences while also managing to convey a few key concepts from quantum physics and biology. Science has been saying the mind affects reality for quite some time and this movie is the first non-fantasy film that I ever watched that explains the mind-matter interaction, and it does it in a thoroughly entertaining way. Yet it is the matter of what exactly science has been saying that many reviewers, including me, find questionably represented by the film. And this seems revealing of a larger confusion in our culture regarding the actual connections between science and spirituality a confusion that has been widespread within the realm of modern spirituality for over two decades. Also, it speaks about the moral standards and how they affect the conduct of a person. It helped us to realize that jumping to conclusion is not the best solution to a problem but a proper analysis of the situation would help. It simply tells us that what we perceive will surely be our response in circumstances so it is necessary for us to think positive in order to overcome bad situations at ease. There is always a positive or negative effect of how the way we think. Imagine how powerful our thoughts are by simply thinking on the formation of either beautiful

or unsightly ice crystals in water. If our thoughts can do that on water then let s imagine what our thoughts can do to us. The concept of ethics and corporate social responsibility is related to the film in the sense that it tries to help us on how to have a clear mind when making decisions and responding to problems that occurs in our life and in our work without sacrificing our moral and spiritual belief.

C. PERSONAL APPLICATIONS
The effects-laden docudrama began stunning viewers everywhere with its creative confluence of science and spirituality and subverting common notions of reality along the way. Once in a while a film comes out that can change the world, and this is one of those films. It speaks about how people must gain mental clarity to recreate reality, it was clearly stated in the film that each of us creates his own reality thus we should open our minds into a new depth of perspective in life. I believe in the concept that our minds affects reality for the reason that sometimes we often think that the outcome of what we do is negative that s why most of the time it turns out that way but on the other hand when we think that the result would be positive it simply goes along with what we perceive. The film helps us to reflect on ourselves how we deal with things especially with unexpected events in our lives we easily justify things based from our perceptions just like Amanda, she is so persistent all the time that is why she never takes opportunity in changing her mind setting. But when she learns to create her new world and get rid of those negative emotions her life becomes a lot more relaxed. We, people, experience different struggles in life that is why we have our own standpoint in looking for solutions to our problems. Being optimistic at all times is a good start in transforming our world into new one. No man is an island so why worry too much? We have colleagues that can help us with our problems plus we have GOD. God is always there to help us in our struggles in life. All sufferings that we experience are matters of test on how are we to respond to these and how tough are we already. God loves us and he provides everything that we need to survive it s just that we have our own plans and He has plans for us. I think we should pray that God s plan should be parallel to our own personal plans in life. But if it s not then we should always look on the brighter side to see that there is a new opportunity that might come along the way. Being positive would give us contentment. We should accept reality that we can t change and that we should be open to changes. We should not be afraid of facing the world with uncertainties we only need to load our minds with positive thoughts and energy.

Part II. OVERALL EVALUATION

Our subject helped us to observed and analyze the different companies providing services in our daily life. The activities we have done for the past months served as an eye opener to each of us management students on their final year in college who will soon leave the portals of their Alma matter and will embrace the competitive world. That information being pondered to us in this subject surely helped us chose and assessed the companies that we might apply for through their ethical code and their corporate social responsibility. This subject taught us on how to be rational. Our consciousness s helped us to deliberate possible answers and guide us in order to come up with the right decisions in life. After all being a manager would always put us into the hot seat and will force us to make a decision. In this subject we have discussed that a decision must always be weight and that we should be responsible in taking consequences for that one. This subject matter greatly influenced the way I think and I perceive life. There are certain things that I cannot understand before but because of this subject matter it really helped to broaden my mind and understand that not all things in life must be associated with how much you earn or how much your profit is. Being responsible for the people around you and the environment is a new perspective that this subject inculcated in my mind. And that I should conform to the ethical values of the society thus being responsible for the welfare of other people. Now, I believe that I am equipped to face a new world, the real world.
