1 Physical Measurement of Butchered Pig The physical measurements of the butchered pig were taken using a measuring tape. The measurements were taken at various parts of the butchered pig and the butchered pigs that weight 45 kilograms and less were the only ones taken into consideration.Table 4.1 shows the physical measurements of the butchered pig.

4.2 Design of Pig Rotisserie Frame and Fume Hood

From data gathered from the physical measurements of a butchered pig, the maximum length and width of the pig was put into account for the designing of the frame so as to have room for the smaller butchered pigs. Clearance was put into considerations for the position of the pig, locking it and the rotation.Figure 4.2.1 shows the concept design of pig rotisserie frame with its dimensions.

Fume Hood

In designing for the fume hood, the dimension of the frame was the basis. It was designed in the most efficient way of getting the exhaust. Figure 4.2.2 shows the design of the fume hood with its specified dimensions.

4.3 Collecting Data of Available Materials

All the materials were canvassed and were put in to a selection process were the best and cheapest materials were chosen. Table 4.3 shows the list of materials available in the market. 4.4 Design of Pig Rotisserie Bar The bar has a length of 70 inches. Holes were drilled at some point of the bar with a diameter of 1 inch to fit a rod locking system. This will be used as a locking system to prevent slippage of the butchered pig. Figure 4.4.1 shows the design of the bar with its given dimensions and Figure 4.4.2 shows the locks for the head and the feet of the pig with all the dimensions in inches.
