PURPOSE This Health, Safety and Environmental Policy Statement defines the Yanbu Export Refinery Project Project Management Teams (YERP-PMT) commitment to protecting the health and safety of its employees, contractors, and others who are affected during the FEED, geotechnical survey, mobilization, construction, commissioning, and start-up of the Yanbu Export Refinery Project (YERP) and to reducing the environmental impact of operations under its control. SCOPE To provide all personnel associated with the YERP Project the principles to achieve HSE Excellence AFFECTS All Yanbu Export Refinery Project personnel and activities. POLICY STATEMENT The Yanbu Export Refinery Projects Senior Management takes the necessary steps to develop, deploy and maintain an Integrated Management System (Health, Safety & Environment) throughout the Projects organization which is appropriate to the nature, scale and potential environmental impact of YERP's activities, products and services. YERP strives to sustain an incident-free work environment. Every employee, contractor, and designated joint venture or alliance employee and contractor to the YERP is accountable for working in a manner consistent with this goal. Personnel are expected to organize, define, plan, execute, control and verify the quality of their work in accordance with all health, safety and environmental requirements. Personnel are expected to take actions to identify, correct and prevent nonconformity. YERP is committed to: Minimizing risks to personnel who may be exposed to potential occupational health and safety risks associated with YERP's activities; Minimizing environmental impacts that may be associated with YERP's activities; Complying with applicable legislation, and relevant industry standards; Reviewing opportunities to improve working conditions for personnel; and Delivering products and services that meet or exceed expectations.

YERP's Integrated Management System provides the framework for setting and reviewing Health, Safety & Environmental objectives and targets, and communicates the implementation, assessment and improvement of this System. Each Contractor will implement an Integrated Management System that is in compliance with the International Organization for Standardization standards, ISO: 14001 for Environment and OHSAS: 18001 for Occupational, Health and Safety Assessment Series.

The YERP-PMT will continually measure, analyze, review and improve the effectiveness of YERP's Integrated Management System so that YERP meets its business objectives while balancing environmental, social and economic concerns. YERP strives to be a good corporate citizen. It will work with contractors and suppliers to improve the efficiency of its operations to conserve natural resources and reduce waste and emissions. This Policy is reviewed periodically for its continued relevancy to the business and YERP. This Policy is to be communicated and made available to persons working for and on behalf of YERP and to the public
