2. Introduction
GTR-20 is a full digitized controller equipped with all basic functions such as display
error message, detect input, measured signal and generator status. When the error occurred,
GTR-20 shuts down the engine, diagnosis can be known easily by reading LCD panel
information. Parameters can be adjusted from front panel in accordance with any special
requirement. Operating DC power range is from 8 to 38 volts, and low power consumption in
standby mode which suitable for small battery charger.

5. Operating Description
5.1 Connect the required wire with engine.
5.2 The front panel turns on every ICON and segment when connected the battery with controller. It is for
examining indication of the LCD panel. After 3 seconds, LCD panel shows “frequency value” and the
running hours.
5.3 Press button can switch the system mode, the mode sequence is OFF mode, CODE mode, AUTO
mode, and then MANUAL mode.
5.4 Press button under AUTO, MANUAL mode, the terminal G35, G36 close to energize the Auxiliary
relay driving the heater system.
5.5 In the AUTO mode, engine can be started through terminal G18, G19 shorted. When terminal G18, G19
opened, it either stop the running engine or remained standstill.
5.6 In the MANUAL mode, controller only accepts the button to be a start command. In this mode the
multiple cranking function is in vain.
5.9 Press button let the engine back to rated speed (by open terminal G37, G38), when engine in the idle
mode.
5.10 In the code mode, press the correct Password “1 2 1 5”, then press button, controller then switches
to Parameter setting mode form CODE mode.
5.11 Press button or button changes parameter item, press button or button
increases or decreases parameter setting, press button escapes setting mode without saving, press
button saves the Parameter setting and remains in the setting mode.
