ASMT Vision & Methodology

1- INTRODUCTION Forewords: There has ever remained an exigency to help out poor and needy human beings. It becomes more intensive in the societies where a big class difference prevails between poor and rich. In all over the world there exists a group of volunteers to carry out these missionary services for their needy fellow beings. We being Muslims are proud of our ideological base the ISLAM which inculcates a great emphasis in this context. It takes the human rights on top priority to attain God Will. Refer to Holy Quran: 2-177 It is not righteousness that you turn your faces to the East or to the West; but righteous is he who believes in Allah, the last day, Angels, the Book and Prophets and gives his wealth for love of Him to kinsfolk, to orphans, to the needy, the wayfarer, to those who ask and to set slaves free and observe proper worship and pays poor due and those who keep their treaty when they make one and the patient in tribulation and adversity and time of distress. Such are they, who are sincere. Such are the God fearing. Hadith Sharif: The better among you is one who is more beneficial for fellow human beings. The concept of social work is it starts from very basic unit of society; home, town / city and then country and so on. So we started this work from our basic unit in Sajjadabad GCL Road Rawall (District Jhelum) under the umbrella of Al-Sajjad Memorial Trust in 26th May 2000 and it got its registration with District Government Headquarter Jhelum in 25th June 2002, with following objectives: 2 Objectives In basic teaching of ISLAM with reference to Holy Quran there is time and again emphasis of research and development over universal sciences. The followers are directed to work for the wide range benefit of human beings; guidelines by our Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are exactly inline with this, which provides a base line for further development in this context. For the same concept and reality the history proves that the origin of all knowledge leading to development of science & technology were initiated by Muslim Scholars but then unluckily due to one reason or another, this has not been continued after 1300 AD. We have very unique Objectives, quite different from the traditional MADDARAS i.e. collaboration of Technical / Modern Education with basic religious teachings of Islam. This is to enlighten the religious scholars with modern science & technology and provide them the opportunity of skill development to enable them to earn their

lively-hood honourably. This will protect them from their participation in non-social and unfair activities. Our broader prospective is to promote this idea to the rest of the MADDARAS in Pakistan by presenting a workable precedent.
