Jn our Christian circles,

we often develop frequently used buzzwords without thinking through their meaning. The word 'transformation' has become a buzzword within spiritual circles. As is often the case, they become the "buzz", but people don't agree on what the term actually means. Transformation is defined as change, from one state to another. Transformers in public utilities change the electric current to lower voltage in transmission lines for use in our homes. I The word transformation can also be used to refer to a change in one's appearance, as is the I case with the popular Transformer toys. The Bible speaks about transformation in two | ways. The word that is translated "transformation" is the Greek word that we know as metamorphosis (juerapop^ow) and is used a few times in the New Testament. In one case, it refers to a transformed physical appearance, specifically when Jesus is "transfigured" (Mark 9:2). The other case is when Paul speaks of the transformation of our mind (Romans 12:2) and being transformed into the image of Christ (JJ Corinthians 3:18). This is good news for children. Children living with physical brokenness can look forward to the day that God will give them a new body. I think back to the children I met in Haiti who had been crippled by their parents so their begging could bring more profit. I think of my time in a Kazakhstan orphanage where children lived with birth defects caused by Soviet nuclear testing and my time among the shanties of migrant workers in Baja with cholera sweeping through their shantytown. These children can all experience the future transformation of their bodies in eternity. The other good news begins now. Children can experience the transformation of their thoughts, actions and character. In fact, Paul writes that boys and girls can be transformed into Christlikeness! "And we, who with unveiledfaces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory." II Corinthians 3:8a Three primary aspects of Christian transformation for children are: 1) Unconditional Love - No matter what they have thought, said or done, boys and girls who confess their mistakes to God and ask for forgiveness will receive His unconditional love.. .no tests, grades, quizzes or strings attached. 2} Hope, Peace, Joy - Jesus was full of hope, peace and joy. Children who know Christ can live without despair and discouragement and have hope for a better future, peace that transcends circumstances and joy even amidst their difficulties. 3) Belonging - God has a family that boys and girls belong to! They are part of His family and can be transformed from their current life situation into His family of brothers, sisters and a loving father. This is the kind of transformation that embodies Every Generation Ministries. Thank you for joining us to Transform Children in Christ through His Church. #4 BY DANIEL WATTS

They desire to know the i of Christ and the life-giving uth of God's Word. They will )penly express their spiritual hunger and deep longing to one who will listen. Throngs f children are everywhere in >ngo and churches provide a e haven for them. However, idult believers feel equipped each out to them effectively, tian leaders came, one after another, to plead with us to ne back to start a ministry in r country that would support lity children's work." Ministry

ur hope and prayer for ourselves and for you is that you may experience all that God would have for you. Over the past several years, we have learned that how we handle money is often one of the single greatest barriers to experiencing God in all of His fullness. A number of years ago, we were confronted with the spiritual implications of what the Bible has to say about handling money. We learned that stewardship meant God owns all of our resources and we are servant managers entrusted by Him in using those resources for His purposes. We learned that it's not about a formula, but about hearing His voice and obeying. Like many of you, we have set aside reserves for a rainy day. We have funded and continue to fund retirement accounts and save for long-term goals. You see, we thought we knew what these resources were for. During a series of events, God revealed to us a need where it was absolutely clear that evil was doing all it could to stop His plan. As we came together and each independently heard God's voice, we knew whatever it took (our influence with others, money, time and energy) we were being called by Him to complete this Kingdom work. In the process, He showed us that we had not only been accumulating these resources for ourselves, but for this project as well. In the limited space here, we cannot describe in detail all the events - Satan attacked and tried all he could to distract us, but God was faithful, protected us and His power saw us through to completion. Oh what a blessing to be squarely in His will.

God loves to reveal His story of redemption to all who will listen. By transforming the way children are presented the story of redemption, EGM is fulfilling God's purposes and we have the privilege to partner in that work. If you are reading this story, we trust you too are hearing God's voice as you prayerfully support the work of EGM. May He bless you as He has blessed us! May you have the incredible privilege to experience God in all of His fullness!"^ JOHN A JOY COOK {EGM PARTNERS} by the numbers 2011-2012 Projects
