7891 240 20 OCT Timcoor - Timeline coordinates

What is it for?
Timeline coordinates - is what it says.
The main purpose is to sort objects like in
a timeline with the latest items first - at the
same time as it works as object-ID's and
control numbers.
Futher more, it suppose to work in many
different kinds of situations like in menus,
in your web browser favorites, in different
kinds of filesystems, in all kinds of operating
systems and applications... And so on.
It is, basically, based on the objects' birthdate.
Example of the format:
- 7888 587 = 13 MAR 2012

If you are a tester of software (all kinds),

using different computers and operating
systems... Or maybe you are an administrator of a LAN, or a programmer.
Then you will find these timeline numbers
useful, because you do not have to change
anyone's settings - and such - to get your
objects to sort in a time relevance order.
You will also find out that the timcoor is working
as extra security for the objects' birth date
when you're converting files, or working with
various filetypes, or transfer files via FTP - and
so on...
We think that you will fully understand
when you have a huge collection of files,
folders or other objects with these numbers
on- or in it.
Please, see for your self!
One more thing to say is that - instead of
counting forwards, you counting backwards.
As long as the default sorting order is
ascending, these numbers will work fine!

How to calculate with TIMC-240

Calculate the year
Calculation: 9900 - 2011 = 7889
Calculation: 9900 - 7889 = 2011
After the usual year 9900 which is the
timcoor-year 0000, it will start over.
We think that it isn't going to be a big
problem after that many years ;-)
A suggestion could be $-9900.

Calculate the day

Calculation: 60 - 28 = 32
Calculation: 60 - 32 = 28
If the date is a part of 99, you subtract with 100.
If the date is a part of 59, you subtract with 60.

Use of timcoor as version numbers

Example = 7889 344 Z99.99 3.345
7889 =

The year according to the timcoor. In this case it means

2011.

344

The day 344 according to the timc-system. In this case

it means 16 AUGUST.

Z99

The latest major change - the alphabet backwards and

count down from 99 - 01, then it goes to Y and so on.
This way you can make up to 2574 changes with tree
bytes. You can of course expand and put more letters
and digits to it, if you need.

99

The first change of the day (which is up to 99 times).

The second change is 98, the third 97, and so on. You
count from 99 to 01. Of course you can expand this with
more- or less digits - like 999 - 001.

Means that it is the third year from the first version.

In this case 7891 (2009).

345

The first day of the first version.
