Real Life Stories Abortion in Ears Part 1 My wife is an Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon while I am a Gynaecologist.

This can lead to some complications as I recently learned to my anguish. A General Practitioner called me up and told me that she is sending a patient of hers for an abortion. Unknown to me, she had also referred a female for removal of earwax to my wife.

"It depends on my moods?" Again I saw her point. "My mistake. You need not be in any sort of mood. It just happens." Part 2

Either that or you could use protection at night." The patient was staring at me with eyes wide as if watching a horror movie. Looking at her face, I decided that she was not fit to listen to the grotesque details. I decided to relieve her a bit. I said, "You will bleed a bit, but only for a few days." By now, the poor patient was trembling, "How-HHow much bleeding?" "Oh, only slightly more than your menstrual period and it will continue only for a week or so."

By Dr Kishore Shah Real Life Story Hold My Hand A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter, "Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river." The little girl said, "No, Dad. You hold my hand." "What's the difference? Asked the puzzled father. "There's a big difference." Replied the little girl. "If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go." In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expect them to hold yours... True Life Stories My Little Brother Part 1 Dear Patrick, I was then an only child who had everything I wanted. However, even a pretty, spoiled and rich kid could get lonely once in a while so when Mom told me that she was pregnant, I was ecstatic. I imagined how wonderful you would be, how we would always be together and how much you would look like me. Hence, when you were born, I looked at your tiny hands and feet and marveled at how beautiful you were.

walk nor talk." The doctor told us that it is a condition that affects one in fifty thousand babies, rendering victims severely retarded. Mom was shocked and I was furious. I thought it was unfair. When we went home, Mom took you in her arms and cried. I looked at you and realized that word will get around that you're not normal. Hence, to hold on to my popularity, I did the unthinkable. I disowned you. Mom and Dad didn't know but I steeled myself not to love you as you grew. Mom and Dad showered you with love and attention and that made me bitter. As the years passed, that bitterness turned to anger and then hate. Mom never gave up on you. She knew she had to do it for your sake. Everytime she put your toys down, you would roll instead of crawl. I watched her heart break every time she took away your toys and strapped your tummy with foam so you couldn't roll. You struggle and cry in that pitiful way, the cry of the kitten. However, she still didn't give up. Then one day, you defied what all your doctors said and you crawled. When mom saw this, she knew you would eventually walk. Therefore, when you were still crawling at aged four, she put you on the grass with only your diapers on knowing that you hate the feel of the grass on your skin. Then, she would leave you there. I would sometimes watch from the windows and smile at your discomfort. You would crawl to the sidewalk and Mom would put you back. Mom repeated this again and again on the lawn. Until one day, Mom saw you pull yourself up and toddle off the grass as fast as your little legs could carry you.

how much I tried to hate you, I couldn't, because I had grown to love you. During the next few days, we again became acquainted with each other. I would buy you toys and give you all the love that a sister could ever give to her brother and you would reward me by smiling and hugging me. However, I guess you were never really meant for us. On your tenth birthday, you felt severe headaches. The doctor's diagnose it as leukemia. Mom gasped and Dad held her while I fought hard to keep my tears from falling. At that moment, I loved you all the more. I couldn't even bear to leave your side. Then, the doctors told us that your only hope is to have a bone marrow transplant. You became the subject of a nationwide donor search. When we found the right match at last, you were too sick and the doctor reluctantly ruled out the operation. Since then, you underwent chemotherapy and radiation.

Thank you for all these, my little brother. Life Love Stories Real Love Part 1 My wife called, How long will you be with that newspaper? Will you come here and make your darling daughter eat her food? I tossed the paper away and rushed to the scene. My only daughter, Sindu, looked frightened; tears were welling up in her eyes. In front of her was a bowl filled to its brim with curd rice. Sindu is a nice child, quite intelligent for her age.

I cleared my throat and picked up the bowl. Sindu darling, why don't you take a few mouthful of this curd rice? Just for Dad's sake, dear. Sindu softened a bit and wiped her tears with the back of her hands. Ok, Dad. I will eat - not just a few mouthfuls, but the whole lot of this. But, you should... Sindu hesitated. Real Love Part 2 Dad, you saw how difficult it was for me to eat that Curd Rice. Sindu was in tears. And you promised to grant me whatever I ask for. Now, you are going back on your words. Was it not you who told me the story of King Harishchandra and its moral that we should honor our promises no matter what? It was time for me to call the shots. Our promise must be kept. Are you out of your mind? Chorused my mother and wife. No. If we go back on our promises, she will never learn to honour her own. Sindu, your wish will be fulfilled. With her head clean-shaven, Sindu had a round face and her eyes looked big and beautiful. On Monday morning, I dropped her at her school. It was a sight to watch, my hairless Sindu walking towards her classroom. She turned around and waved. I waved back with a smile. Just then, a boy alighted from a car and shouted, Sinduja, please wait for me! What struck me was the hairless head of that boy. Maybe that is the in stuff. I thought. Sir, your daughter Sinduja is great indeed! Without introducing herself, a lady got out of the car and continued, That boy who is walking along with your daughter is my son Harish. He is suffering from leukemia. She paused to muffle her sobs. Harish could not attend school for the whole of the last month. He lost all his hair due to the side effects of the chemotherapy. He refused to go back to school, fearing the unintentional but cruel teasing of his schoolmates. Sinduja visited him last week and promised him that she will take care of the teasing issue. However, I never imagined she would sacrifice her lovely hair for the sake of my son! Sir, you and your wife are blessed to have such a noble soul as your daughter. I stood transfixed and then, I wept. My little Angel, you are teaching me how selfless real love is! The happiest people on this planet are not those who live on their own terms but are those who change their terms for the ones whom they love! Christian Love Stories Honk If You Love Jesus

I got a letter from my grandmother the other day. She writes: Today I went up to a local Christian bookstore and saw a "Honk if you love Jesus" bumper sticker. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance followed by a thunderous prayer meeting so I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper. I stopped at a red light at a busy intersection and was lost in thought about the Lord and how good he is that I didn't notice that the light had changed. It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't honked I'd never have noticed! I found that lots of people love Jesus! Why, while I was sitting there, the guy behind me started honking like crazy and then he leaned out of his window and screamed, "For the love of God! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, go!" What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus! Everyone started honking! I just leaned out of my window and started waving and smiling at all these loving people. I even honked my horn a few times to share the love! There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him yell something about a "sunny beach"... I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air. Then, I asked my teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant and he said that it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something. Well, I've never met anyone from Hawaii so I leaned out of the window and gave him the good luck sign back. My grandson burst out laughing. Why, even he was enjoying this religious experience! A couple of people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended but that was when I noticed that the light had changed. Hence, I waved to all my brothers and sisters, grinned and drove on through the intersection. I noticed that I was the only car that got through before the light changed again and I felt kind of sad that I had to leave them after all the love that we shared so I slowed the car down, leaned out of the window and gave them all the Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away. Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks!

Maybe now we can begin to comprehend the great Love you have for us." Christian Story Do You Love Me? Part 1 One day, I woke up early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Ah the beauty of Gods creation is beyond description. As I watched, I praised God for his beautiful work. As I sat there, I felt the Lords presence with me. He asked me, Do you love me? I answered, Of course, God! You are my Lord and Saviour! Then he asked, If you were physically handicapped, would you still love me? I was perplexed. I looked down upon my arms, legs and the rest of my body and wondered how many things I wouldnt be able to do. I thought hard about the things that I took for granted. I answered, It would be tough Lord, but I would still love you. Then the Lord said, If you were blind, would you still love my creation? How could I love something without being able to see it? Then I thought of all the blind people in the world and how many of them still loved God and his creation. So I answered, Its hard to think of it, but I would still love you. The Lord then asked me, If you were deaf, would you still listen to my word? How could I listen to anything being deaf? Then I understood. Listening to Gods word is not merely using our ears but our hearts. I answered, It would be tough, but I would still listen to your word. The Lord then asked, If you were mute, would you still praise my name?

How could I praise without a voice? Then it occurred to me. God wants us to sing from our very heart and soul. It never matters what we sound like. We do not always praise God with a song but when we are persecuted, we praise God with our words of thanks. So I answered, Though I could not physically sing, I would still praise your name. The Lord asked, Do you really love me? With courage and a strong conviction, I answered boldly, Yes Lord! I love you because you are the one and true God! I thought I had answered well, but God asked, Then Why Do You Sin? I answered, Because I am only human. I am not perfect. Then Why In Times Of Peace Do You Stray The Furthest? Why Do You Pray The Earnest Only In Times Of Trouble? Do You Love Me? Part 2

I could not answer. How could I? I was embarrassed beyond belief. I had no excuse. What could I say to this? My heart had cried out and the tears had flowed, I said, Please forgive me Lord. I am unworthy to be your child. The Lord answered, That is my grace, my child. I asked, Then why do you continue to forgive me? Why do you love me so? The Lord answered, Because you are my creation. You are my child. I will never abandon you. When you cry, I will have compassion and cry with you. When you shout with joy, I will laugh with you. When you are down, I will encourage you. When you fall, I will raise you up. When you are tired, I will carry you. I will be with you till the end of days and I will love you forever. Never had I cried so hard before. How could I have been so cold? How could I have hurt God as I had done? I asked God, How much do you love me?

There were no answers. Only tears. The Lord continued, Why only sing at fellowships and retreats? Why seek me only in times of worship? Why ask things so selfishly? Why ask things so unfaithfully? The tears continued to roll down my cheeks.

The Lord stretched out his arms, and I saw his nailpierced hands. I bowed down at the feet of Christ, my Saviour and for the first time, I truly prayed. Bible Story The Pearl Necklace Part 1 Jenny was a bright eyed, pretty five years old girl.

Why are you ashamed of me? Why are you not spreading the good news? Why in times of persecution, you cry to others when I offer my shoulder to cry on? Why make excuses when I give you opportunities to serve in my name? I tried to answer, but there was no answer to give. You are blessed with life. I made you not to throw this gift away. I have blessed you with talents to serve me, but you continue to turn away. I have revealed my word to you, but you do not gain in knowledge. I have spoken to you but your ears were closed. I have shown my blessings to you but your eyes were turned away. I have sent you servants but you sat idly by as they were pushed away. I have heard your prayers and I have answered them all. Do You Truly Love Me?

One day when she and her mother were checking out the grocery store, Jenny saw a plastic pearl necklace priced at two dollars fifty cents. She wanted that necklace and when she asked her mother if she would buy it for her, her mother said, "Well, it is a pretty necklace, but it costs an awful lot of money. I'll tell you what. I'll buy you the necklace and when we get home, we can make up a list of chores that you can do to pay for the necklace. Don't forget that for your birthday, Grandma might just give you a whole dollar bill, too. Okay?" Jenny agreed and her mother bought the pearl necklace for her. Jenny worked on her chores very hard every day and sure enough, her Grandma gave her a brand new dollar bill for her birthday. Soon, Jenny had paid off the pearls. How Jenny loved those pearls. She wore them everywhere; to the kindergarten, bed and when she went out with her mother to run errands. The only

time she didn't wear them was in the shower as her mother had told her that they would turn her neck green. Now, Jenny had a very loving daddy. When Jenny went to bed, he would get up from his favorite chair every night and read Jenny her favorite story. One night when he finished the story, he said, "Jenny, do you love me?" "Oh yes, Daddy, you know I love you." The little girl said. "Well then, give me your pearls." Her father asked mischievously. "Oh! Daddy, not my pearls!" Jenny said. "But you can have Rosie, my favorite doll. Remember her? You gave her to me last year for my birthday. And you can have her tea party outfit, too. Okay?" "Oh no, darling, that's okay." Her father brushed her cheek with a kiss. "Good night, little one."

She said, and held out her hand. She opened it and her beloved pearl necklace was inside. She let it slip into her father's hand. With one hand her father held the plastic pearls and with the other he pulled out of his pocket a blue velvet box. Inside the box were real, genuine, beautiful pearls. He had them all along. He was waiting for Jenny to give up the cheap stuff so he could give her the real thing. It is the same with our Heavenly Father. Hanezawa Kana, a friend of a close friend back in high school. I guess she looked a little different I met her one Sunday afternoon in mid-October from what I remembered five years ago and that when red leaves hanged on the trees aligned by was why I didn't recognize her initially. I was waiting for a friend at a nearby Starbucks just two streets away from my apartment in Shinjuku. It was my first time there as I am not much of a coffee person and would only drink it whenever the time calls for it. This might sound disappointing to Starbucks or coffee lovers but that's the truth. When I was there, I understood why others raved so much about Starbucks. The place provided a relaxing ambience with a strong coffee aroma in every corner of the shop. The service crew showed smooth movements even when the shop was crowded. They would bring the customers orders to them with a smile before striding away at the beat of the bossa nova music in the background. I offered her the seat in front of mine. Thanks. She smiled and tapped both hands on the table as if signalling that she was about to say something. I guess she liked tapping. So, I bet you don't remember me, right? I shook my head to indicate that I do remember her. She smiled again. And correct me if I'm wrong. Youre Motoharu, right? I nodded, suppressing a grin. She remembered me. Uh, Motoharu Jin? Actually, it's Jun. S-Sorry. I can only recall surnames of people I knew back then. Hanezawa apologized and then

smiled sheepishly. I should have stopped with Motoharu. It's okay. I said, shrugging the topic off. I often don't remember the names of people too, so that makes it even. So Hanezawa, you need to talk about something? From the expressions on her face, it seemed that she was a bit surprised by my question. I guess no matter how you look at it, I was too straightforward. She was the one who approached me so I assumed she wanted to talk. I didn't know how to put it in a nicer way but that was how I felt. Memories and Chances Part 2 Nothing. She chuckled and she looked into my eyes. I kind of remembered something when I saw you, Motoharu. Like what? She took a moment of silence before answering my question. Maybe you'll think that it's weird but seeing you now made me remember what I used to be five years ago. Ever since I came to the city for college, I haven't seen anyone from our place. It feels like I have lost my connection to the past and I feel like a wandering soul here in Tokyo. I do have friends here but it still feels different. I kind of understand that. I told her and her face lighted up. I used to have that feeling after two years of living alone in the city. I didn't pursue college but started working in a small publishing company right after I graduated. I was the youngest employee back then but no one really cared. The pay was good and my co-workers were all nice people. Maybe those are the reasons why I am still working there. However my relationships are like hit-and-run vehicles. You got hit and after a few months, they would all run out of your life. The last time I dated someone was two years ago.

Somewhere at the back of my mind, I expected her to ask that. He got married five months ago. Yeah. I heard about that. ----------------------------------------Ryuu was our common friend. We were in the same classes throughout high school. He was a military freak and was always fascinated about wars. He would have band-aid on his face for cosmetic purposes. He also liked keeping his black hair long in a pony tail. He said that a soldier would look cool with long hair and I guess he did look cool. Girls from other classes would whisper to one another whenever he walked through the school corridors. He would receive love letters in his locker everyday and different girls would confess their feelings for him every other week. He was also popular with the guys. Wherever he went, everybody liked him. He was that kind of person. Everybody thought that he wanted to be a real soldier but they were wrong. I found it weird too when he personally told me that he likes the military but he wouldnt want to die in a war. His obsession about the military sort of influenced me too. I became used to military time which is time in a twenty-four hours format. It became a habit of mine to report and identify time using military time. I was happy to see him again when I attended his wedding ceremony back in May. He hadn't changed a bit since we last saw each other and his hair was still long. I got to know his wife, whom he met from work. I learned that she was a military freak as well. I guess that might be the reason why they got along well. Hanezawa was Ryuus childhood friend. However, few people knew about it. They never talked in school nor exchanged glances whenever they crossed paths. I barely see them together in school. They each had their own different social circles but there was always a special bond between the two of them.

Anyway, are you waiting for someone here? She asked, changing the topic. I told her yes. A girlfriend? The first time I saw them talking was during Ryuu's No. Just a friend from work. He said he'll drop by at sixteenth birthday. I remember there was full moon sixteen hundred hours. on that night and we had secretly set up a party for him in the school grounds. Memories and Chances Part 3 I assume you didn't attend the ceremony. I hadn't seen her that day and Ryuu seemed sad about it. He was expecting to see her. You're right. She said. I didn't go. Ryuu was expecting to see you. Hanezawa nodded as if she already knew that. She then asked me if I wanted to know the reason behind her absence. You would tell me otherwise even if I said no, right? She laughed at my comment. I was being selfish. I thought only Ryuu and I shared a special connection. I mean, we practically spent half our lives together. We knew each other's secrets and dreams. When we entered high school, I was a little sad that he found a whole new world for himself. He met new friends and had quite a number of girlfriends. I thought he would never have time for me but he would always find time to drop by my house once a week. He would always tell me the good things that happened to him, how he enjoyed playing softball with you and other friends and how annoying were the tons of love letters he received everyday. I smiled at her. Maybe that's the reason why you didn't give him one. Hanezawa gazed at me in surprise. Seconds later, her expression changed into that of a shy little girl. Her face was red. Motoharu, would it be weird if I tell you that I love him? It will be a lot weirder if you didn't.

walk them outside and call a taxi for them so they could go home. It was already nine o'clock or twenty one hundred hours when I checked the time and I was walking my seventh man of the night outside. I realized that we have been drinking for four hours straight. I called a taxi and entrusted the drunken guy to the driver. When I got back into the bar, Hanezawa was sitting with her arms wrapped around her knees, swaying with the music. Oh no, she's drunk.

I asked if she's feeling okay. You know what? She answered. It's entirely your fault that I'm feeling miserable again. I took the seat beside her and refilled my glass. Really? Now, she's blaming me. Hell yeah! If I hadn't seen your face, I wouldn't have remembered things. I would have been in my friend's apartment and we would be watching this drama called Oh no I forgot the name. Anyway, I would have been with her right now! But no! You showed your face in that coffee shop and I saw you there! It would have been better if I didn't turn around at that moment but I did. I even approached you! Now, memories are coming back to me, flowing like hell and I don't even like it! But at least you're not like a wandering soul now. That calmed Hanezawa down. She sighed and drank another glass. Tell me. You're regretting that you didn't let Ryuu know what you felt for him, right? I heard her sigh again. It was a long, deep sigh. I had the chances, Motoharu. Ryuu gave me lots of them. However, I just didn't have the courage to ----------------------------------------tell him and I hated myself for that. understanding and acceptance. Most of the people who have high standards in choosing partners ended up with the exact opposite of what they wanted. One must open his or her eyes to see. Hanezawa threw me a look saying that I didn't exactly answer her question. So what's your answer? If that had been the case, then I must say yes. I might have fallen in love with you. You know what? You are so not real. She said but then smiled. But thanks anyway. I've got my confidence back. She raised her glass and offered a toast. I accepted it. We didn't talk for a while after that. She had her eyes glued to the woman playing the piano and I was busy thinking about her last question. When she asked, I hadn't given it much thought and simply said what I was thinking. Her voice rang in my mind again. Would you ever fall in love with me? I thought of how Ryuu really felt about her. Did he ever see her as a girl and not just some friend? Sometimes, I thought he did. Whenever he was talking to Hanezawa, he had that certain smile that I didn't see when he was with others. It was as if he was fully opening himself up to her but then stopping at a particular point. Now that I thought about it, he seemed to be controlling himself whenever she was around. He was always showing off, goofing around but it was different with her. Something was always holding him back. I chuckled as the truth dawned on me. Hanezawa and Ryuu were the same. They were both cowards. I think Ryuu loved you. She didn't answer. I became worried and turned to see why. Somehow, I felt relieved. It was not that she didn't want to answer. She just couldn't do so. Hanezawa was off to dreamland.

hair smelled nice too. I found myself staring unconsciously at her hands which were hanging in front of me. They were small and beautiful and resembled those of a pianist. I wondered if she can play the piano. Suddenly, an image flashed in my mind. Wait Was it just dj vu or did this scene happen before? Ryuu once carried me like this too Hanezawa murmured even though she was asleep. Something just didn't feel right. Something told me that what she had said wasn't right. Nevertheless, I went outside and hailed a taxi for the eighth and last time. ----------------------------------------It was not Ryuu who carried her back home that night. It was me. I was sure of it. The memory returned to me after I carried Hanezawa on my back again and somehow, it felt good. It was as if it filled a space in my heart that has been empty for a long time. The memory was a long lost piece of me. We were at Ryuu's house that night for a grand graduation party. Ryuu's parents came back from America and they thought they should hold a celebration. Ryuu came from a rich family. They owned a big furniture company that exports to different countries and I heard they were trying to enter the real estate business. Memories and Chances Part 5 The party was open to everyone and many people, especially the girls, accepted such a rare opportunity. Who wouldn't want to spend their last day as a high school student with Ryuu? Nobody. It was good news for the boys too. The boys could find plenty of eligible girls at the party and might get lucky with them. I guess it was pretty normal that everyone wanted to go.

Hanezawa arrived at the party at ten minutes before eight in the evening. I could tell because I remembered looking at my watch before she came. Ryuu brought me with him and we greeted her with No way. a playful salute at the gate. She looked beautiful as I smiled hopelessly. Where should I take her? As soon as we got one, I let her in first before getting in myself. I remember Ryuu warning me about not to lay a hand on Hanezawa but I simply laughed at him. 'Don't worry. I won't.' And the taxi set off. The ride was unexpectedly long. I was sitting beside an innocent sleeping girl and the driver kept staring at us through the mirror. He might be thinking that I am a pervert who have lewd ideas about Hanezawa. I left without another word. That was the last time I saw her. In fact, I never expect myself to see her again. Not in another five years. -----------------------------------------

When we got back to my apartment, I lay her down on my futon, removed her shoes and placed a glass of water near her just in case she feels thirsty when she wakes up. Following that, I rested my back on the wall and let myself become sober. I didn't feel drunk even though I drank more alcohol than I probably should. Normally, the same amount of I shifted my gaze and tried to focus my attention on alcohol will knock me out. I guess being with her the things outside the window. helped me control my senses. started remembering things that I never thought I will recall. If she hadn't turned to look at me at Starbucks, if she hadn't approached me then I would have came home much earlier. However, she did come up to me and greeted me with a Hey, the second word that she ever spoke to me and even invited me for a drink without any money on her. Yeah, someday I should tell her that. I should really tell her that. However, let me look at her closely. Let me look at the girl who clearly reminded and explained to me the word, Regret. She was a lot better than any dictionary in the world. ----------------------------------------I woke up the next day sleeping on my futon. Hanezawa was nowhere to be seen. I assumed she left while I was sleeping. The sun was already up. Feeling really light-headed, I made my way to the bathroom to wash up. I smelled really bad due to the alcohol I drank yesterday. Something caught my attention. It was the full breakfast meal waiting for me at the table together with a note on the side. Thank you last night and I take back what I said about you. You are real. Hanezawa Kana I flipped the note and there was something else written on the other side. I thought it was her phone number but it wasn't. P.S. I thought of visiting Ryuu and his wife when I'm finally ready. I hope you can be by my side when that time comes. I'll drop by your apartment sometime. She did not mention when would it be on the note but I admit that I had never been more excited about going home since that day. ----------------------------------------You only gave me two chances even though I have known you all these years. I had two chances to tell you everything and I always had the courage to do so. Or so I thought. However it is kind of unfair. I am not complaining about how few chances I had but I think you are the one who is unfair. You are so unfair. In both of the chances that you gave me, you never listened to me. You were always drunk and I always end up talking to myself. Lonely isn't? By prshr
