We are pleased to announce for the first
time, the integration of special needs category
in the program, through workshops of their own under
the supervision of trained professionals, there will also be a sign
language interpreter at the corner, from Zayed Higher Organization
for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs, so that deaf and mute
can enjoy the corner creative workshops as their peers.
ln 2012, Creativity Corner is divided into several elements such as:
1 - Mathematics Corner.
2 - Science Corner.
3 - Computer Corner.
4 - Artistic expression Corner.
5 - Reading Corner.
6 - Traffic awareness Corner.
7 - Child and Education Counseling Corner.

There will also be major workshops and sub-workshops. The
major workshops starts with self brief explanation, followed by
its practical application in the specialized corner, and during the
practical application of the main workshop, there will be practical
applications for various sub-workshops at the different corners, to
ensure quality in the practical application in the main workshop and
to ensure profitability of all participating children and maintain their
enthusiasm, while waiting for the application in the main workshop.
Main workshops key dates can be identified through a schedule,
where as the sub-workshops will be in continuous sessions, where
we shall mention some of them in this booklet.

Blind Press is deemed one of the special needs sectors centers at Zayed Higher
Organization for Humanitarian Care, and is considered the only printing press in
the UAE that prints in Braille, instructional materials curricula and teaching aids,
cultural materials and stories for the blind. The Foundation works on managing
and operating the printing press to continue the conferring march for the blind
and visually impaired in the country as a whole, to enable their educational and
cultural integration first, then full scope integration in their community.
The Blind Press offers a number of services related to education of visually
challenged people, at the welfare and rehabilitation centers, and integration
schools at the country's level, and such services are manifested in printing
studying curriculums in Braille, printing studying examinations and summaries
for those interested in Braille, and printing bulging instructional materials, and the
printing cultural books and stories in Braille.
Based on the integration of special needs categories in the community and
identifying their needs, the Blind Press is pleased to participate in the (Principles
of reading instructions in Braillej workshop at Abu Dhabi lnternational Book Fair.
Abu Dhab| Center for Aut|sm
A Government Center, specialized in the field of autism under Zayed Higher
Organization for people with special needs, established in the year 2000 and
located on the outskirts of the of Abu Dhabi City in Mafraq , and the Center taken
in children suffering from autism, providing comprehensive educational services
to the autism category.
Abu Dhab| Rehab and Care Center
for Spec|a| Needs Peop|e
Follows the Abu Dhabi Centre for the care and rehabilitation of people with special
needs to Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care, Special Needs and
Minors Affairs where it was attached to the institution under Law No. (2j of 2004
issued on April 19, 2004 and the center is located at Mafraq area in Abu Dhabi.

The number of students at the center is 300 students, rehabilitated by following
modern methods of rehabilitation for these groups. The groups taken in by
the Center include the deaf, lntellectual Development categories (MENTAL
AlLMENTSj, blind category, physical disabilities and vocational rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation is carried out through internationally certified education and physical
therapy programs and curricula, with the Center Administration's knowledge.

Traffic awareness programs within the activities of The
Abu Dhabi Book international Fair.
The participation of the Traffic & Patrols Directorate in
the activities of the Abu Dhabi lnternational Book Fair
2012 reflects the attention paid by the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police in
the strategy it follows, in application of the Traffic & Patrols Directorate priorities,
to make the roads safer, and for the systematic communication with partners.
Through this Abu Dhabi lnternational Cultural Book Fair Exhibition, the Traffic
& Patrols Directorate is seeking to provide a variety of educational programs
targeting all segments of society, which would contribute to the development of
traffic cultural awareness and enhance traffic safety.
The focus of the interactive traffic programs is on traffic competitions addressed
to children, to contribute in making future generations more aware of traffic issue.
