The expected outcome of the SPARK Program is an increased awareness and clarity of students about the role of IT in the world around them. Understand that whatever they choose to do in their future lives, IT will always be part of their choice. The faculty members will also be better equipped to prepare their students for their future roles.
SPARK At a Glance

Process Overview
Conducting a SPARK event involves key phases such as Event Planning, Event execution and Post-event Reporting. Planning phase involves identification of participating institutes, event communication, nomination of faculty members and students by participating institute, facilities booking including classrooms/ equipment/ accommodation for guests & Infoscions associated with the event, ordering of give always, participant materials. Detailed agenda will be prepared that has several interactive and work group sessions. This phase results in list of confirmed nominations for the event together with individual travel plans. Event Execution phase involves program kick-off and hourly execution and tracking of agenda activities. Participants feedback is obtained for every session for analysis and improvement decisions. Socializing, discussions, campus tour, meeting with Infoscions and networking are a part of the SPARK program. Post-Event Reporting phase focus is on analysis of feedback, and Management reporting.
Volunteer program:
A volunteer training program will take volunteers through the process of volunteering. In short tell those interested in volunteering their time, how to go about it, and to understand why they would need to volunteer, what is in it for them, for example what would they get out of participating in the Spark program.
Pre-Requisites
1. High Schools, Degree and Engineering Colleges from urban and suburban areas in and around the host Development Centre (DC). 2. Institute needs to plan for travel arrangements and bear the cost. 3. Institute needs to include students and faculty members from both genders. 4. Nominated faculty needs to be a permanent faculty with 3 to 5 years of teaching experience.
Program Outcome
Students and Faculty members of participating institutes will: 1. Understand knowledge and skills related challenges facing the IT industry 2. Become aware about the IT usage in different industries 3. Experience facilitation & learning methods adopted by IT industry. 4. Experience the learning environment 5. Learn about IT trends by interacting with practitioners. 6. Recognize gender sensitivity. 7. Network with students and faculty members from various partnering institutes
Program Deliverables
1. Planning and delivery of events for schools, degree colleges and engineering colleges as per target 2.Development of pool of volunteers to support round-the-year delivery of events across all DCs 3.Development and aggregation of content to match the different customizable agenda 4.Feedback mechanism to track effectiveness and continuous improvement 5.Enhanced Campus Connect portal to support SPARK program management

Program Implementation
