In the Bosom of the Father In 1973 I received the greatest revelation of God's love that's possible for a mortal

human to absorb and yet survive. I'd only been a Christian for 2 months when the Father manifested Himself, His infinite love for His Son Jesus Christ, and His infinite love for me (and you). It was awesome! Here's what I experienced: Late one night I sat upright and cross-legged on my single bed in Lakeland, Florida. I relaxed my body, then stilled my mind and focused it on seeking God1. The house was dark and quiet. Soon I felt the presence of lovethe strongest love I'd ever experienced; stronger than a mother's love, and purer than a lover's. This love seemed to pour into my forehead, through my brain, and into my heart. It came in waves, like ocean waves on a beach. The love was so overwhelming that I was literally drowning. My mortal being couldn't bear the glory of it2! To survive, I silently asked the Lord to pull it back a little. If He didn't, my mortal self would die. As He decreased the intensity of His love, so that I no longer felt mortally threatened, He unveiled something wonderful. In the core of His bosom3, He revealed Jesus to me4. I observed that Jesus dwells in the very center of the Father's heart, basking continually in the full light5 of the Father's infinite love6. Their relationship is perfect and complete. Nothing can make it better, and it'll never change. I admired their beautiful relationship. Then the Spirit revealed in my heart that I was also in the Father's bosom, with Jesus7. I understood that when the Father looks at me, He looks at Jesus. As much as the Father loves Jesus, He loves me just as much! As Jesus is perfect and holy, dwelling in the very heart of God, so am I, and so are you if you are in Christ. As the relationship between Jesus and the Father will never change, neither can the Father's love for us change8. My sensation of God's presence then evaporated back into the invisible realm around us. What conclusions have I've drawn from this revelatory experience? Having seen that we are now in Christ, in the bosom of the Father, gives me absolute assurance that: 1. In Christ, we are now totally righteous, accepted, and beloved in God's presence. 2. Now, while my body is on earth, my spirit is enjoying eternity in the Father's love. If I am in Christ, in the Father's bosom of love, I am blessed! I can trust Him to support and provide whatever I need in every earthly situation He leads me into, just as He did for Jesus. Having experienced His infinite love prevents me from ascribing blame toward God for the evil and suffering in this world. I can't answer every question about why evil and suffering exist, but I can testify as an eyewitness that: 1. My God is absolutely good. There is no evil in His nature, actions, or motives. 2. He is love, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and gentleness9. 3. He loves every person infinitely, more than we can comprehend or appreciate10.
