Pie Chart Agenda

Ch 5

28

Poster Session

Method of planning the agenda for a meeting by drawing a pie chart representing the slices of time being allocated to each topic. Goal is to create a set of compelling images that summarise a challenge or topic.

Small Group

60 - 90 seconds

By limiting the number of slides in a presentation & limiting the amount of time a presenter can spend on each slide, presentations will convey information concisely & at a rapid pace. Rule of Pecha Kucha (Japanese for chit-chat) 20X20 presenters allowed 20 slides with 20 seconds per slide Utilises the focal point of a clock to empathise the notion of time, plus represents the agenda items, weighted by importance Show up & throw up. Two constraints - it must be self-explanatory & it must be visual. Focus on three types of explanation: before & after, system & process. Conducted at project kick-off - starts with the question what will go wrong. Opportunity to voice concerns - draw on experience / pas learnings. Identify any actions required. Select a topic - each member brings an object that represents this topic. Each member describes the object - drawn on whiteboard Each member draws or selects an image & tells a story to reect a work related story - indicative of companys values Map by power & interest as main two axes. First identify the stakeholders, add each to the map then develop strategy for dealing with each
