Introduction Reasons of research Help the company by providing the necessary information and tools for exporting in another country know - how An attractive subject which needs loads of attention A proactive collaboration with the company and with the group members Motivation derived from the passion the management has for yachts/motor yachts Introduce the possible financial situations if exporting to one of the countries present in the cluster Black sea area Layout of the project plan The project will be divided in chapters Each chapter will have different topics First part will include general information regarding the country cluster, company and product Second part will be based on the filter model Third part will be based on the internal and external analysis Fourth part will follow up with the SWOT and confrontation matrix Fifth part will follow the strategic options sixth part will conclude the most suitable entry strategy, seventh part will describe the operational tools: logistics/transport and legal eighth part will present the financial forecast ninth part will include the implementation and action plan tenth part will be based on the conclusions and the recommendations eleventh part will be bibliography anex

Project period The project has duration of three months. The project started from 7th of March 2012 and it will end in 30th of June 2012. The project period also includes the scholar holidays, and therefore two and half months shall be considered as actual working period.

Starting point Research goals The goal of the research is to find out which country of the Black sea area has the most attractive market for the motor yachts North-line, produced by Zevenhuizen shipyard. After finding out which country is the most attractive for Zevenhuizen an internal and external analysis shall conclude. This for finding out whether is the company prepared/capable for doing business in the country of destination. To determine which one is the most suitable entry strategy for Zevenhuizen. The entry strategy shall be analyzed and determined regarding the type of product and the manner in which the company wants to expand in the country of destination.

To investigate which would be the best way to transport the yachts To find out the regulations and possible restrictions of the country of destination this related to the product To find out whether exporting to the country of destination will turn out profitable forecasting the sales based on the previous financial statement of the company To find out the target group and potential collaborations for Zevenhuizen in the country of destination to help the company implement the export policy plan regarding the managements demand. To give further conclusions and recommendations for the company when doing business abroad.

Documentation The theoretical aspects shall rely on the books used for the lectures and the books used in the previous academic years Magazines and periodic will be used for gathering information regarding the company/product/customers Reports and essays will be used Students will do desk research by means of internet The official websites of World Bank, CIA, and the ministries involved in international trade will be used. As well other sources like Wikipedia, thesaurus(synonyms) and dictionaries will be used

Project results Formulation of the problem statement The problem statement of the export policy plan is What country, out of the Black Sea area Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia or Turkey, would have the most attractive market regarding the export of ships from the Netherlands and how can the company export its yachts to the selected market? This regarding logistics, finance, strategy and legal issues. The formulation includes the problem statement for finding the most suitable market and also the problem statement for delivering the necessary know how to the company in order to successfully export to the country of destination Methodology/plan of action The table of content has been developed and together with it a schedule of the deadlines the students have to meet The students will do desk research, will provide the tutor information regarding the progress of the report The students will keep in touch with the management of the company for feedback and changing opinions and solutions. the students will work individually and as well as a group. The students will agree upon all situations that may arise and that are important for writing the export policy plan. The students will communicate via the e-mail. The bibliography will be mentioned below the page: as a footnote, and at the end of the report as an APA style. Criteria for quality Accuracy in content: the students agreed on using the same sources The report will be well structured students are using the same layout font size and style. The report will deliver clear information The tables will have the same layout The report will have an executive summary, introduction and conclusion and recommendations The report will include a table of contents The raw information regarding the filter model will be placed in the annex.
