Parent/Teacher Conferences This is the time of year that teachers in grades prekindergarten through two (PreK-2) extend personal invitations to parents for parent-teacher conferences. The purpose of this end-of-year conference is to allow teachers and parents to discuss each childs strengths and areas that may need improvement as students transition to the next grade level and face new challenges. All grade levels are important but the first few years of school are critical in terms of developing foundational skills and habits that affect future learning. Parents at all grade levels are encouraged to request an end-ofyear conference. Please contact your childs teacher or contact the school office if you would like for us to coordinate a conference with several teachers at the same time. Pennies for Patients Wow! Our students donated over a $1,000 in pennies to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Thank you! Thank you, too, to the Beta Club for sponsoring this service project and to Mrs. Young and Mrs. Davis, for counting and wrapping all these pennies! Guest Speaker On Wednesday, April 11 Mr. Doug Williams, a banker with Wells Fargo, will visit with seniors during their third period economics class to discuss the importance of establishing good credit and other information consistent with credit counseling.
