Economy Barack Obama wants to restore fairness to our economy. Hell end tax breaks for corporations that ship our jobs overseas and hell give middle class and working families a $1000 tax cut. John McCains economic plan is the same as George Bushs tax cuts for the rich and for corporations. Oil Barack Obama has a serious plan to achieve energy independence. Hell invest over 150 billion dollars over 10 years in alternative energy and create over 5 million new jobs. Facing the highest gas prices in a generation, all John McCain offers is the same solutions as Bush/Cheney: 4 billion dollar tax breaks for big oil companies, including 1.2 billion dollars for Exxon alone. Exxon made 12 billion dollars between April and June of 2008. Healthcare Its a disgrace that 44 million Americans live without healthcare and many millions more struggle to pay expensive premiums and receive quality care. Barack Obamas plan will offer quality healthcare for every American and reduce premiums by $2500 for working families. John McCain rejects universal healthcare coverage. In fact, his plan would actually encourage businesses to stop covering their employees. Iraq War The costly war in Iraq has cost thousands of lives and billions of tax-payer dollars. Barack Obama will end the war responsibly and spend American tax dollars on Americas economy and infrastructure. John McCain has no plan for ending this war, and suggested we could be there for 100 years. Joe Biden Joe Biden is an expert on foreign policy whose heart and values are firmly rooted in the middle class; one who has stared down dictators, and spoken up for America's cops and firefighters. Joe Biden wrote and passed the Violence Against Women Act, which provides funds to help communities, nonprofit organizations and police combat domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. He is uniquely suited to serve as Barack Obama's partner in the urgent mission to bring about the change America needs put our country back on track.
