We are already at the end of the first term of the year, term two starts on Monday 23rd April. It has been great to see so many students already getting involved in our school merit programme and challenging themselves in different areas ie: academic, sport, civics and culture.
Have a great Easter holiday! We hope all students have a restful holiday ready for another busy term ahead.

5th April, 2012

Our Winter Uniform Policy is detailed below for parents who are not clear on what our uniform regulations are here at Morrinsville Intermediate. Below we have included photos of suitable winter shoes to ensure the correct regulation shoes are purchased. Students must be in winter uniform during terms two and three. Students will require a regulation polar fleece. Boys and girls are both required to wear regulation school shoes ie: plain black, leather (able to hold a shine). Boys shoes must be lace-up. There are to be no chunky heels over 3cm, no badges, markings or large buckles. Fabric or suede skate style shoes are not permitted. Slip-on or ballet style shoes are also not permitted. Boys are required to wear plain grey regulation school socks and girls are required to wear either knee high navy socks or navy / black opaque stockings to the waist (no pantyhose or sheer nylons). In addition to the short sleeved polo shirt, a short sleeved navy or plain black t-shirt or thermal shirt can be worn underneath. Sun hats / caps are not part of the winter uniform and are not permitted during terms two and three.

Our school uniform is available at Harrys in Morrinsville and winter shoes can be purchased at shoe retail stores including the Warehouse, Number One Shoes, Hannahs etc starting from around $30.00. As per our Uniform Policy students are expected to show pride in their uniform by wearing it correctly (including to and from school) and keeping it clean and in good order. If there are problems with purchasing uniform items, students can be issued a temporary Uniform Pass by bringing a signed note from home and taking it to Mrs Marshall (Deputy Principal). Please remember to name all uniform items clearly. Thank you for your co-operation.

Please note: boys are to wear lace-up shoes (as pictured), girls may wear lace-up or the strap and buckle style pictured.
