SOIL has given a lot of joy to all members of our Eco-System: Founders, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, Students, NGO partners, Consortium members and recruiters. The founders count their blessings for being given an opportunity to develop leaders who truly care for the planet, have the competence to contribute to business excellence and have the enthusiasm to make a difference. The faculty love our students and consider learning a process in which they serve as facilitators. Our staff trust the people they work for, take real pride in what they do and deeply enjoy the spirit & community in SOIL. Our alumni have deep bonds of love and ownership for SOIL as they strive hard to give off their best. Our students are our real wealth. They bring their goodness in every sense and create the positive vibes that make us unique. Our NGO partners enjoy the relationship with SOIL of being a co-creator and shaper of our social innovation agenda. Our consortium members gain deep satisfaction in contributing to the development of a School with a difference. And our recruiters celebrate the products of SOIL by participating in large numbers to fulfill their need for talent that is well rounded. It gives us tremendous joy to present our third batch of young leaders to you. The batch of 2012 has continued the tradition of SOIL students by taking responsibility for the way we live. They have taken to our Social Innovation Program like a fish takes to water. They have also reached out to many other institutions to spread the message of Inspired Leadership through several interventions. They are not just hungry to know but also to do, thus bridging the knowing-doing gap. Not a day passes without our seeing the impact they are making by expressing themselves about issues they deeply care about through social media and blogs. This group has taken the initiative in building the reputation capital for SOIL through collaboration with other institutions, participation in and organization of external forums-using all channels to reach out to other young people and communicating and personifying the power of Inspired Leadership. They have done us proud by managing several activities with great enthusiasm. Here are two simple examples: -the morning circle is owned and led by the students, a ritual followed at SOIL every morning, in which the whole school gets together to share and celebrate -Sourcing of live projects from mentors and other industry leaders to enhance learning This batch showcases extraordinary talent in multiple ways we have amateur writers including a student who has written a book on 'Self- realization', some of our students are brilliant artists, budding poets and skillful dancers. It is joyful to see these multiple intelligences in action. I appreciate the focus of this batch on their own holistic development, be it academics or extracurricular activities. This group is truly taking SOIL to the next level and that's why they have been christened as the 'The Game Changers'. As Dr. Srikant Datar of Harvard Business school mentions in his new book 'Rethinking the MBA'(paraphrased) To create true leaders a B-school should balance knowing, doing and being. It is humbling to see the SOIL batch of 2012 truly personify the hunger for knowing, the drive for doing and the love for being. We are delighted to present the 'Game Changers'- the batch of 2012, to you With Love & regards

STUDENT SPEAK
HOW WE LEARN
Our Learning predominantly focuses on Value melded knowledge. SOIL ensures that the Five Pillars get incorporated in all our Learning, be it Subjects, Case Discussions, Leadership Series, Special Events and Competitions. We learn to lead a better tomorrow by transforming ourselves to become Inspired Leaders. At SOIL, learning is not only about theoretical classroom learning. Every day and with everything we do at SOIL, we learn the five pillars of SOIL, imbibed in our system. Starting from the morning circle to the wellness sessions, leadership series and guest lectures, all teach us how to learn not just things that we can apply in the short run but that will always stay with us for the rest of our lives.
HOW WE LEAD
We set examples and Inspire people by blending Ethical Leadership. We follow the core thought that everyone is unique, thereby eliminating the unhealthy competition within our society. In all our practical approaches to the problems, we take a decision that is unified with values. And that's how, we Lead. The School of Inspired Leadership is all about transforming us into Inspired Leaders of tomorrow. With every experience we are learning more and more about ourselves, our strengths and how to work on improving our weaknesses. We are given immense opportunities to hold leadership positions, be it in our group projects or initiatives that we can take up. I have already seen a huge development in myself and I have no doubt that I can be a great leader who will be successful in inspiring others around me.
HOW WE LIVE
Learning doesn't accomplish the purpose until the same is Practiced and taught to others. We ensure that we constructively practice what we have learnt and influence others thereby enhancing and encouraging this Leadership Transformation across the environment.
At SOIL, we live with mindfulness, compassion, ethics, sustainability and diversity. Everything we do in and outside of SOIL, these values are engraved in us and we are proud to be SOILITES. -Tanisha Chawla, MLP 2012 - Balasanjeevi Balasubramaniam, BLP 2012
up the best for yourself. The continuous emphasis on leadership with responsibilities has changed the way I used to look at things. The leadership courses specifically helped me connect with myself internally first and also gave me the confidence of how future leaders can be different yet responsible. SOIL has been a perfect place for me to learn, lead and live in a true sense. -Hersh Sharma, BLP 2012 SOIL is the place which is bringing back the gurukul culture of learning. It is the place which contradicts the statement that says leaders are born, they can't be made. It is the place which is transforming today's human beings to become the inspired leaders of tomorrow. The place, the class rooms are designed in a scientific manner that brings out the positive energy in oneself. A place, where all are equal. A place, that appreciates every bit of goodness and provides ample opportunities to enhance and imbibe skills to achieve greater heights in life. Disappointment comes to those who keep appointment with future and being mindful, these are the two learnings that are incepted in me till now. These two learnings have changed my perception towards life. One should learn to live in the present and not worry about the future and that's what matters the most which helps you to live every single moment with lots of curiosity, positivity and motivation. I consider myself a chosen one for being a part of the SOIL family. It's a journey that every leader should travel in his life besides learning business etiquettes. I feel fortunate to get such an exposure. -Manjesh Bharati, BLP 2012
