A Game of Thrones

This uses the basic Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game rules presented by Games workshop. However it is designed to be used for the Song of Ice and Fire character instead of Lord of the Rings. Please enjoy, it is not finished but week by week i will battle though. Thank you.

Mercenaries
The Mercenary forces are common and growing in number across the world. Loyal only to coin and slaughter they will fight for any king or lord, but they are not trusted by any wise man. Mercenaries are every ones friend in a fight, for the right price. However they make bad allies in hard or suicidal fights, even if their skill in battle could turn the odds. To represent that all Brake tests happen at 50% casualties and mercenaries only use half of their courage (rounding up) for all Brake tests.

Heroes
Black Balaq Archery is and leadership are his skills, his bow and armour his possessions. For those who want a character that can lead and shoot Balaq is the ideal leader. F S D 4 W 1 A 2 C 3 M/W/F 2 1 1 PST 35

Balaq is armed with a hand weapon and a Goldenheart bow, for additional cost he may be armed with; Horse Shield Armour /Heavy Armour 10 pst 5 pst 5/15 pst

Bronn Skilled and cunning, Bronn goes far as a mercenary and even becomes a Lord from his extensive skill and his small political power. However it is on the battlefield that Bronn lives and he is a rare skilled fighter. F S D 4 W 3 A 3 C 5 M/W/F 3 1 2 PST 85

Ben Plumm An old mercenary with a love of his life and gold, although skilled he has changed sides more than once in war and his men with him. There are old sellswords and bold sellswords but there are no old, bold Sellswords F 5/S 4 D 5 W 2 A 2 C 4 M/W/F 2 0 1 PST 30

Wargear Ben is armed with a hand weapon and wears armour, and for additional cost he may be armed with Horse 10 pst

Special Rules

An old sellsword- If Ben Plumm needs to take a brake test he is controlled by the other player and in effect swaps sides. All warriors within his stand fast radius also change their allegiance. If both sides require to take a brake test at the start of a turn Ben leaves , without any courage roll.

Jon Conningtion,

Griff

Once hand of the King, now a member of the Golden Compass. Griff is still a grand warrior even at his age, but his ability to command has not been destroyed. Not only a grand soldier but also a lord and a Grand General. F 6 S 4 D 8 W 2 A 3 C 8 M/W/F 4 2 3 PST 180

Special Rules Lord Griffin- If Jon calls a Heroic Fight then all friendly models with 6 also count as calling a heroic fight even if the models are warriors and normally cannot call a Heroic action. Griffins Honour is the family banner of Conningtion. If equipped with the banner he gains A Griffin! A Griffin. Warrior PoetDenzos stand fast range is 12 as he inspires people to fight, also any warrior within 6 can use his courage for any test on the courage they have to use.

Special Rules Bodyguard, He must choose either Jon Conningtion or Aegon Targaryen. If neither are in the force he loses this Bodyguard special rule.

Wargear Gorys is armed with a hand weapon and armour. He also carries the pay chest. For additional cost he may be armed with: Horse Chariot 10 35

Special Rules Protect the Chest! All mercenaries within 6of the Pay Chest count as being within range of the banner. Should the chest be lost then all mercenaries must take a brake test at the start of the next turn.

Special Rules Sadistic*- Whenever Vargo causes a wound he gains a point of might. This may take him above his starting might. Vargo may also attack any member of the mercenary band, but they will fight back!

Special Rules A Bear! A Bear!- when Jorah fights in the same force as Daenerys he gains +1 F and the Bodyguard rule, based on her.

Special Rules A Joker- Penny may not realise it but her fighting on the front encourages other to fight! She may use a point of Might at the start of any turn to count as a banner for the rest of the turn.

Special Rules The FoolShagwell is a coward, but for mercenaries he is a comedian. Full of dark humour and armoured in a motley of clothing. All mercenaries gain +1 C if they are within 6 of Shagwell.

Special Rules A Prince of Rags- The Prince must attack a Hero if in base contact with one. Every time he deals a wound to a Hero, he regains a point of Might.

Special Rules The Cunning of the Lion*- Tyrion is the most cunning Lannister since Lann the Clever. To represent this Tyrion can use a point of Might each turn without reducing his Might score.

Master Tactician- Tyrion is one of the greatest tacticians off the Age. With his father dead he would be the greatest general in the Lannister household. To represent this you may select up to two battle tactics, even if you would not normally be allowed to purchase them. You must still pay for them.

Mercenary Warriors
Unsullied F 4 S 4 D 6 W 1 A 1 C * PST 15

Wargear

Each Unsullied is armed with a spear, hand weapon, armour and a shield. Special rules *Unsullied have the bodyguard rule. Should the character they are attached to die they will obey no more orders and will stand motionless. They have no courage value and are unaffected by any special rules or spells that use the courage value. Unsullied are designed to fight in companies. In order to represent this if Unsullied are supporting other Unsullied they grant +1F as well as +1A.

Wargear Thugs are armed with a hand weapons. Soldiers are armed with hand weapons, armour and shields. The Cavalry are armed with hand weapons, lances, amour and shields. And they ride on horses. Any of them may be armed with bows for +3 pst a model.

Bodyguards 4/5+ 4

Wargear Thugs are armed with hand weapons. They may be armed with slings for +1 pst per model. Soldiers are armed with hand weapons and poorly cared for armour. They may be equipped with spears for +1 pst per model. Scouts are armed with a hand weapons and bows. These may be upgraded to long bows for +2 pst. Bodyguards are armed with hand weapons and armour. They may be armed with heavy armour (+3 pst per model), two handed weapons (+1 pst) and shields (+1pst).

Stormcrows are armed with hand weapons and armour. For additional cost they may be armed with: Cross bows 3 pst(per model)

Special Rules Free men- Stormcrows do not use the Standfast! Ability as each one will stay or flee as he chooses.

Brave Companions F S D 4 W 1 A 2 C 4 PST 10

Wargear The Brave Companions are armed with a mix of weapons. They may be armed with two handed weapons, hand weapons or daggers and slings. They all wear some form of armour. Special Rules Wolves in Sheeps clothing- The Brave Companions are monsters, looked down upon even by other mercenaries. To all intensive purposes they do not count as members of the army, not even as allies. Therefore they never count for brake tests. Also all special rules that apply to allies or friendly models never effect the Brave Companions.

Adventurers The world is full of people trying to get by with odd jobs here and there. The most extreme version of this are the adventurers. They turn up in many fights, but in truth they only get attached to a few. They may fight for a village or with mercenaries, one thing is sure the world is full of adventures and those seeking them. Golden Company The Golden Company are the best mercenary army in the known world! Well equipped, well trained and they only accept the best. They also specialise each man to fit a certain role. Therefore there profiles are split. Name Soldier Outrider Archer Knight Wargear Soldiers are armed with a hand weapon, armour and a shield. Outriders are armed with hand weapons, bows (which may be upgraded to longbows for +3 pst), and are mounted on horses. Archers are armed with longbows (which may be upgraded to Goldenheart bows +5 pst), hand weapons and armour. Hired Help
With coin you can hire an army, or you can hire assassins, poisoners, generals or other aids. This list contains those that you can hire, however the cost is often very high.

Faceless Men F 6/S 4 D 3 W 1 A 2 C 8 PST 100

Wargear A Faceless man is armed with a hand weapon. Special Rules Faceless- To use a Faceless Man do not deploy him with your force. Instead take note of one of your opponents Warriors. At the beginning of any turn, (before priority roles) you may replace the marked warrior with the Faceless Man. The Gift of Death- A Faceless Man must be given a target. This can be any Hero or Warrior in your opponents army. He must move towards his target. When in combat with the target model and he inflicts a single wound the model is removed from play as the poison destroys their body. Hired for one job- A Faceless Man will only kill his target. Once his target is dead remove the Faceless Man from the board.

Assassin F S D 3 W 1 A 2 C 5 PST 25

An assassin is armed with a dagger and throwing weapons. Special Rules For every assassin you hire you may have another Poison tactic then you would normally be allowed. You must still pay the cost for it.

Bearded Priests of Norvos F 4/S 4 D 5 W 1 A 2 C 5 PST 25

Wargear A Bearded Priest armed with a Poleaxe (two handed weapon) and armour. Special Rules Bodyguard, Poleaxe Mastery- The Bearded Priest may choose to use the poleaxe defensively, if so then during the combat they act as having shields instead of two handed weapons. You must decided whether you are using this rule before rolling for combat.

Warlocks F 2/S 3 D 3 W 1 A 1 C 3 M/W/F 1 3 1 PST 25

Wargear Warlocks are unarmed. Special Rules Bringers of Magic- For every Warlock in your force you may purchase another Magical tactic.
