Celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens with the UKs first major exhibition on the author for over 40 years. Recreating the atmosphere of Victorian London through sound and projections, youll be taken on a haunting journey to discover the city that inspired his writings.

Explore the early 19th century history of human dissection and the trade in dead bodies through dramatic evidence unearthed during Museum of London Archaeology excavations at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. 7. The exquisite Fanshawe dress was made from local Spitalfields silk woven by French Huguenots and worn by Ann Fanshawe when her father was Lord Mayor of London in 1752-53. 8. Our beautifully recreated 18th century pleasure gardens are full of period costumes and specially commissioned hats and masks by Philip Treacy.
