XI OMICRON IOTA PHILANTHROPY

This Thursday April 26th Xi Omicron Iota will be hosting their spring philanthropy Twister for Ta Tas to benefit the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO). The event will take place at 6pm at the ROTC fields. The cost of the event is only $4 per person and you can pay at the door. So make sure to come out and show your twister skills as well as your support for BCFO!

ALPHA SIGMA ALPHA HOMERUN DERBY


Tuesday April 24th was Alpha Sigma Alphas annual philanthropy event for Special Olympics, Homerun Derby. Alpha Sigma Alpha would just like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting the cause. The event was a huge success! Also. special congratulations to Pi Kappa Alpha and Sigma Kappa for winning the Homerun Derby, and to Same Boone of PIKE for finishing as MVP!

MSU PUBLIC RELATIONS ORGANIZATION HOLDS PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE FOR STUDENTS


The Missouri State University Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, or PRSSA, is hosting an annual professional development event for students in the region on Friday, April 27, at The Discovery Center in downtown Springfield. The event is themed The Science of PR and will feature three keynote speakers, a young professionals panel, a career expo, networking opportunities and a resume critique sponsored by the Southwest Missouri Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, or PRSA. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the event lasts until 4:15 p.m. at The Discovery Center on 438 E. St. Louis St. We hope that this event will help students understand public relations in a new way and provide students with great networking opportunities with professionals in the area, said Doug Gaehle, the MSU Chapter president of PRSSA. The keynote speakers include Carrie Reynolds, Senior Account Executive at Marlin Co.; Mallory Roth, Educator and Enthusiast at Askinosie Chocolate; and Sean Dixon, Interactive Media Manager at the Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau. Tickets cost $15 for PRSSA members and $20 for nonmembers. All students are welcome and can register online at scienceofpr.eventbrite.com.
