Vida Estudiantil
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic we contact students met by our Spring Break teams and plug them into our Vida Estudiantil family. Praise the Lord for Mildred, Adam, Rueben, Ritsanna, and others who are enjoying growing closer to God through this ministry. Moreover, it was great seeing Leyla and Prospero attend a ten day leadership training in Brazil (pic. above); join me in thanking God for his faithfulness to further prepare and train our Dominican leaders! Another focus of our work has been to raise financial support for our upcoming Spring Retreat on June 15-17th. One such fundraising event was the selling of tickets to a great Christian film called Faith Like Potatoes, (Fe Como Papas.) By Gods grace much money was raised. Lastly, and sadly, I will be needing to remove myself more from time on campus to re-raise some of my own financial support which has reached dangerously low. Thank you for those who have been faithful to give; and thank you for those whove been generous. Please pray for me as I get back on the phone (using skype intl. dialing), ask for support, and the continual trust in the Lord to provide for my needs in these final months

April is the month where the focus of our work is less on evangelism and more on followup (sharing basics of the Christian Faith) and discipleship (face-to-face intentional teaching and training of Biblical principles for Godly growth). Daily Reading Plans, For the Win!

Lately I have been finding much peace and comfort from the scriptures, by simply reading the scriptures! (Profound discovery; I know). But its not intense, rigorous exegetical study; just reading. Every day. A daily reading plan does just that. My soul is awakened fresh in the mornings with new mercies, or gently calmed into restfulness at night with his faithful promises. Doesnt have to be long reads; even an apetizer is better than an empty dish.
