HR Administrative Assistant HR Director Human Resources

Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt

The HR Administrative Assistant, under the supervision of the Responsive Education Solutions (ResponsiveEd) HR department and HR Director, performs a variety of complex, responsible and confidential administrative duties requiring a thorough knowledge of organizational procedures and processes. They will continuously provide clerical assistance to the Director and/or designated HR staff members. They will perform other department related work as required. The HR Administrative Assistant requires the ability to work independently, exercising good judgment and initiative. They will manage confidential information with a strict scrutiny. Qualifications: Education/Certification Requires a High School diploma or GED. Bachelors Degree from an accredited College or University preferred. Professional Human Resources (PHR) Certification, preferred. Experience 1+ year of experience as an Administrative Assistant. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Basic knowledge of data entry, filing, and handling confidential information. Must have 1+ year of Administrative Assistant experience. Must have 1+ year of experience with data entry, filing, computer programs, and office equipment. Excellent knowledge of office protocol. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent attention to detail is required. Excellent customer service. Ability to communicate with employees and the public. Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships. Strong understanding of handling confidential information.

Preferred KSAs

3+ years of experience maintaining and supporting public, private, or charter school employees in the State of Texas. 3+ years of experience maintaining and supporting HR department and/or 500 or more employees.

Responsibilities and Duties: Maintain calendars, track deadlines, route incoming calls, organize meetings, and prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence. Ability to edit, proofread, and process HR related documents. Assist with New Hire Orientation paperwork. General clerical responsibilities including: answering phone, filing, typing copying, department mail, and other clerical duties. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Assist with background checks and fingerprinting FastPass request. Communicate effectively with all of ResponsisveEds Staff via email, telephone, fax, and in person. Answer telephone to provide information, take messages, or transfer calls to the appropriate HR staff. Direct employees to the appropriate HR Staff. Cover the ResponsiveEds operator during lunch and breaks. Process employment verifications paperwork. Perform special projects, during and after normal business hours, and other duties as assigned. Equipment Used: All equipment required to perform jobs duties and task previously described.
