Course Goals: This course is a systems approach to human anatomy and physiology, with special focus on the structure and function of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems. Prerequisite: Upper-level high-school biology, or BIO 106, or BIO 200, or HED 210. Corequisite: BIO 267 Human Anatomy and Physiology I Laboratory Text: Human Anatomy and Physiology, Marieb, 8th Edition Companion Website: www.myaandp.com Course Policies: 1. The semester grade will be based on scores from two midterm exams and a comprehensive final, each of equal value. The scores associated with lettergrade categories, are outlined below: A: 90-100% B: 80-89% C: 70-79% D: 60-69% F: <60% 2. Exams will consist of a variety of question types, including multiple choice, matching, true/false, true/false correct the false, fill in the blanks, and short answer. 3. In general, you are responsible for all material covered or assigned in lecture. Lecture will include material not found in your text. Do not assume that you can pass if you skip lectures. If you do skip a lecture, you are solely responsible for making up the material that you missed. 4. The syllabus is tentative and subject to change. However, exams will be given on the dates listed and will be based on material actually covered or assigned in class. 5. Your score on the final examination can replace your lowest midterm exam score. 6. It is your responsibility to take the exams on the date and at the time that they are scheduled. Midterm exams cannot be made up. If you are unable to take a midterm exam as scheduled, you will receive a zero that can be replaced by your final exam score. You must take the final exam as scheduled unless some catastrophic event happens in your life.

7. Cheating and all other forms of academic dishonesty will be dealt with according to University policies. See the appropriate section ("3.1.2.3 Penalties") of the Cleveland State University Bulletin (http://www.csuohio.edu/studentlife/student_handbook/arp31.html). 8. Course Website Blackboard A web site is maintained in support of BIO 266 using a system called "Blackboard." The web site will include material such as PowerPoints, handouts, scores on the midterm exams, and notices of important information. Students are expected to check the web site for announcements every couple of days.
