THE PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

bringing new excitement towards innovative quality visual presentation

I N T R O D U C T I O N
From time to time, Retail Design has posed a great deal of challenge towards consumers. It has been considered to be as what we all know as the face of the merchandising industry which greatly stresses the idea that would linger and definitely make the best impression the store has to offer.

Retail stores can be compared to the tip of an iceberg. It is the small part of the iceberg visible above the waterline that distinguishes it, but the iceberg is kept afloat by the mass below the waterline. For its success, retail operation depends on the unseen mass consisting of business acumen, taste, ability to select

merchandise, its policies and its services. That is the tip of the retail iceberg and that is what I call the Trinity of Retail Design. That is what Store Presentation and Design is all about.

- Martin M. Pegler author of Store Presentation and Design

BREAKING BOUNDERIES, BUILDING BETTER LIVES.

THE CORPORATION
Transformation Design Incorporated has been registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippines with the primary purpose of providing interior design ideas and concepts, construction of commercial boutiques and the manufacturing of retail management systems for branded names in the Philippine retail industry.

THE OPPORTUNITIES
Industry Growth Notwithstanding the economic downturn experienced throughout Asia and the world over the past few years, a glance at the business page headlines and the Metro Manila skyline plus a visit to any Mall destination, will provide ample evidence that the retail industry is undergoing a sustained expansion of facilities. For Transformation Design Inc., this represents a double opportunity; all these new retail outlets will require our services for their retail visual display needs and because competition rises as well, the standards of this retail management system must necessarily be superior in terms of its visual presentation. Also, at the same time be effective and more efficient in order for the store to attract customers and succeed to remain profitable to its owners. Superior Service Transformation Design Inc. not only has the expertise and contacts but can also provide people, concepts, as well as retail display systems the three key ingredients for successful retail display planning. We have no hesitation in stating that Transformation Design Inc. has the personnel and credentials capable of rendering precisely what is expected by our clients which imposes creativity and knowledge in terms of retail display concepts and designs. Apart from the depth and breadth of experience of the incorporators in day to day operations, Managements knowledge of access to systems, manpower, resources and connections will be contracted as and when the needs arises, to complement the services of our clientele. Flexibility Transformation Design Inc. recognizes that the needs of every client is different and unique, cannot, and should not, be forced into standards of conformity. Management is willing to sit down and discuss, evaluate, guide, provide ideas and options in order to maximize the benefits available to prospective clients whether these are mall owners or small boutique operators. There may be a few organizations in the Philippines which may have the experience in retail designing, however, Transformation Design Inc. espouses professionalism, flexibility, and a cost effective retail display system that would translate into long lasting profitability for the retail store owners. We also take pride that we take a pro-active role on the services to our clients.

FINAL OJT REPORT

Finding a company o go for an On-the-job training was not that

easy just I thought how could it be hard if it was a real job hunting. At CLC
Marketing Ventures, we experienced a real job interview by the HR Manager we learned a lot about entering a large company she taught us about how to look and answer on an interview, she also taught us the code of employees, she gives us pointers how to be a good employees while on work, and orient s about the companys rules and regulation. I and my partner were separated and we had different department, I was assigned at Anthro Office systems scoping on office furniture and office space planning. Upon entering my designated department, they welcome me warmly; first they orient me about the company (Anthro Office systems). And introduce me to the whole employees of Anthro. I found that community a cheerful one, their boss where having

fun with them. As a first task they gave me a plan to work on AutoCAD, their
giving me some floor plan to layout, some furniture partition to detail, 3d model with sketchup and some swatch board to show to client. Here I get familiar by AutoCAD software mostly, and introduce a little in Google Sketch up for 3d modeling.

Finding the next company for Interior design or Architecture was

tough. We sent e-mails on several companies but no reply, we also called them up, but denied. We felt a little disappointment and we nearly loose hope. Until ESY Corporation replied to our email, we had interview and started on the same day. The office were small, a little less organized so many swatches that is seen upon entering. The employees were nice to us, we had a lecture about cabinets we learned a lot about the fittings and carcass she made us browse different books and brochures for our added knowledge. She also taught us about what we could be when we graduated interior design, she also tells us about the interior design here in Philippines and how hard it is to make an interior design business because of much competency.

I got more familiarized with AutoCAD I got to explore its settings. I was assigned to work on window grills, gate and railings. I was exposed in converting inches to millimeter because the dimension given was not the same. I have to present my schemes to my mentor for approval, she made revisions to it and I made a final plan that was given to the job site. I also work on some cabinets and floor plan layout.

Transformation Designs Inc. is the last company to complete my 200 hours on-the-job-training. Here I spent 50 hours Architectural apprenticeship. I was assigned to work on 3d modeling of a residential project (Peter Chua). Archt. Ko says that the client wants a zen style interior for his home. Here I work with Google SKETCHUP. I explored it potential on making 3d models of interior, also its plug in especially v-ray for rendering I was able to use material editor and rendering properties for a good presentation, but the computer needs more requirements to apply large resolution so I havent much use of rendering. Archt. Checked my work and he says that I have to be more sensitive on materials and use of space. He also taught me about what a zen style more about. He told me to avoid separation of floor for it might make the space visually small. Over-all I learned a lot on this experience. Having 3 different companies on my whole OJT period gave me a broad sight on how could my future career would be. I had tough time and experience but expanded my knowledge on industry of interior design, and it made me understand how things work on different environment.
