To study the salary component satisfying the employees. The relation of these factors with age and hierarchy level

The research design is a framework or blueprint for conducting the marketing research project that specifies the details of how the project should be conducted. The RD can be broadly classified as Exploratory or Conclusive Exploratory Research provides insight into the problem.

Here, Explorative design is selected to identify the factors of employee monetary satisfaction. Which can be studied later in detail in conclusive study.

The population for this survey could be the entire service class employees of India. The sample chosen was the students of PGDM course of SLIMS who represent random sample of employees in Ahmedabad and the same was extended to some randomly chosen employees who could be contacted through internet to increase the sample size.

Close Ended Questionnaire with multiple choice. Following variables were embeded in the questions:

Hierarchical position in Management Earning Level Age Group

Data was collected through internet via Google forms. The questionair was mailed to 26 students of SLIMS 2010-13 batch out of which 8 responded till 22nd April It was also mailed to randomly chosen 34 employees out of which 9 volunteered to respond without any repeated follow up.

Following techniques are to be used to analyse the data. Descriptive Factor Analysis

1) H0 : Employees earning significantly affect choice of salary model. H1 : Employees earning significantly does not affect choice of salary model.. (2) H0 : Employees Hierarchical Position in the Organization significantly affect choice of salary model. H1 : Employees Hierarchical Position in the Organization significantly does not affect choice of salary model.

Factor analysis is a class of procedures primarily used for data reduction and summarization. Unlike multiple regression, and discriminate analysis, factor analysis is an interdependence technique in that an entire set of interdependent relationship is examined.

The conclusions drawn will have following limitations :


Time period available to execute this survey was short to gather sufficient Data. The sample size is too small to draw definitive conclusions, it can only be used as indicative. The data was collected through internet, so the group ignorant of net got eliminated from the selection of sample.
