rs for a long time. The one I chose is Student Post. Although it is not published everyday like Taipei Times, and its contents are not that profound, however, its subjects are diverse, including Week News, Movies, Annies mailbox, Idiom, and etc. Student Post has active and living teaching contents. It not only inspire my motivation to learn, but also reinforce my absorb ability and memories. In addition, sometimes I read Taipei Times on line. I start to read some reports and articles which catch my eyes first, then read the rest parts of it, in order to strength my reading ability step by step. ICRT HBO English corner Sanders Besides reading, there are still listing and speaking skills for me to practice. Because I want to get into the situation quickly instead of spending too much time adapting to the language. I will prolong my time of listing to ICRT, and listen to more English songs with reading both English and Chinese lyrics in order to understand the meaning. Then, I watch HBO, trying not to see the subtitle unless I do not know the words, hearing what the movies say only. I will try to have conversation with foreigners, such as those exchange students at English corner, or the basketball player I usually met, Sanders. I want to form a habit that I am able to speak English when I open my mouth, or translate English into Chinese quickly in my mind. As for getting to the local University If I am lucky enough to be chosen to study at University of Wisconsin, River Falls, as an exchange student, there are several courses I wish to take.

The first course on the lsit is Creative Writing. Because I have taken the course English writing in Taiwan, and I am pretty interested in writing, I really wish to reinforce my skills of English writing. Besides, its title emphasizes the importance of Creative, maybe America teachers will have some totally different methods of teaching inspiring the writing ability of students. Writing Poetry (The) Second one (?) will be Writing Poetry. It takes different skills between writing article and poetry. After studying English literature, Ive become interested in poetry writing. Poetry writing focus on rhymes and the arrangement of sentences, plus writing in English, there are more details need to be noticed. I wish to learn the method of writing poetry, and being able to analyze English poetry. American Music Last but not the least, American Music is what I would like to learn.. It is full of attraction for me. Besides the pop songs introduced on TV, I want to know the original source of it even more. What exactly the American music is, or what is the difference between it and Chinese music, I really desire to know it. Now that it is a musical course, it certainly has an active atmosphere of the class, I expect the moment discussing with my classmates. After taking all these courses, I wish to combine what I have learned abroad with the courses and activities I will take in Taiwan in the rest two years. Creative Writing

 I will make good use of the writing skills and method I have learned from Creative Writing to the writing courses in the stage of junior or senior. Not only on writing, but also on expressing main content in English fluently while making report. Moreover, after taking foreign writing course, absorbing exotic thoughts, I would like to put Chinese and western ideas together on writing, trying to write something in another style and submit. Writing Poetry As for the Writing Poetry, I think it will help me read the poetry and comprehend the meaning while studying English literature. I learn the method of poetry writing, so I can understand the selection of words and expression of emotion quickly, and experience the conception. Besides English literature, it also helps a lot when I read other books or pieces. American Music American Music is exciting g tome the most. On account of learning American local music, and understand it profoundly, I am able to introduce much pure American music to the audience on my broadcast. I can even explain its beginning and development in detail. Different from playing American pop songs all the time, I want the audiences enjoy real American music better. There are still lots of courses are interesting to me. After all, it is such a rare opportunity for me to stay in American university. I wan to learn and absorb all the

knowledge as possible as I can. After coming back to Taiwan, besides practice what I have learned in myself, I can share the experience and studying method with my classmates as well, then encourage each other. I wish to be favored hope I can be qualified, and favored by the judges in being awarded gaining the chance of studying in University of Wisconsin River Falls for one semester. I think it will be the biggest challenge and the most unforgettable experience for me during my college time. In this way, I can further enhance my spectrum of learning in the global context. I will the come back to Shih Hsin University to complete my college education. By all means, this chance of studying overseas will certainly be complementary with my studies in Taiwan, thereby building the solid foundation of my lifelong learning so as to contribute to my country and to the whole world in the long run.
