A lot of experience cannot be gain such as tender, bill of quantity, pre-qualification of tender and human resource management. Some of subject cannot be learn in the classroom but it can be learn through the field work such as management.
CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION Recently Thailand got big disaster which is flooding that cover a huge area including northern part and central part of Thailand refer to the news (Appendix 1).
There are many areas that important for Thailand economic which encounter with flood such as paddy, industrial estate, factory, government office and power station. Flood cause a lot of damage to economic. Some of foreign investors are not confident with this problem and they prefer to move the production base. Regarding from this fact, the foreign investor want a solution or strategy to ensure that flooding will never affect or cause the damage to their property from the government. On the other hand, the government will not provide the solution of this problem sooner. Some of factory provides a protection flooding wall by themselves such as Giffarine factory which located in Navanakorn Industrial Estate. By the way, it comes with very high price that is why some of factory prefers to change the production base. The board of Navanakorn Industrial Estate decided to solve this problem with the permanent flooding protection project and signed Italian-Thai Development PCL to carry out this project.

CHAPTER 4 EXPERIENCED GAINED 1. English is used in translating contract and tender offer document (Refer to appendix 3: shop drawing) 2. 3. Well understand managing human resource, labors must be treat like family if want them to work with company in a long time 4. Corrugate concrete sheet pile that used to build permanent flood protection wall is intellectual property of Mitsubishi Corporation which some company in Thailand paid for license to conduct this sheet pile. 5. Understand method of driving corrugate concrete sheet pile as following step (Refer to appendix 2: shop drawing) Step 1: Driving first sheet pile and check whether sheet pile is vertical straight or not
Step 2: Driving second sheet pile and check whether sheet pile is vertical straight or not
17
Step 3: Driving third sheet pile and check whether sheet pile is vertical straight or not
Step 4: Driving forth sheet pile and check whether sheet pile is vertical straight or not
Step 5: further driving sheet pile but if some of sheet pile is not straight in vertical, whole work must be stopped for repair this disable sheet pile then continue to driving sheet pile
18
7. Usually while driving sheet pile slipping out problem is happen because the lower soil is not varying type then the different stress will occurred at the base of sheet pile that cause sheet pile is not in the vertical straight. By the way there is some remedy step as following Step 1: two or three sheet pile will be used to lock the slipping out plate
19
Step 3: Driving second pile and third pile. Each of them should lower than previous plate about 1 meter. Also check the vertical straight
20
Step 4: Driving third pile lower than normally level for 1 meter and check vertical straight
Step 5: Driving second pile to normally level and check vertical straight
21
Step 7: pull back the third plate to normally level and check vertical straight
22
23
24
25
10. Supervise vibration test and sound test, this test is used to inspect that vibrator will cause any damage to nearby structure or not. Also check wheatear the noise is to loud or not
26
27
11. Supervise the seismic test, this test is required by owner to check whether pile cracking underneath the soil
28
CHAPTER 5 CONCLUSION In conclusion, there are so many notable memories in internship. Training implied that content in the classroom is not enough for working. For example in the process of design soil work, the unit weight, ground water table and friction angle are concerned in the classroom but varying of unit weight and inaccuracy of field test are also concerned in the real work. It can be concluded that sometimes experience is needed to design something. English is used quite often during signing a contract or tender offer. It is very good chance to have study in English program even through accent and vocabulary are still not good enough but this is not the problem because the conversation, e-mail and document can be understood clearly. Finally, in my opinion, Italian-Thai Development PCL is good in conducting practice work but I prefer work as designer. By the way, it is great honors to work with this company.
