Being the best in the State makes the hard work and sacrifice well worth it. Apparently my pleas for dues payment are falling on deaf ears. At present I still have 38 unpaid for dues cards in my office. I will start to send out the formal late notices by the end of this month. I really do wish that was not necessary. Remember, it is your dues that allow us to operate the Lodge. Without that money Im afraid the Lodge will cease to exist. Im sure no one wants that to happen. June 4

From the East: May is over and Grand Lodge is upon us. I am confident that Orange Park Lodge will continue to make us all proud, as our Competition Ritual Team gets ready to represent us. Many Brothers have put countless hours into practicing for this and I know their hard work will be rewarded. This has been an exciting month to sit in our Lodge. Many newer members have been stepping up and assuming more responsibilities. Our Chaplain, Brother Mark Balester, sat in the East for his first degree and did an outstanding job. And our Junior Warden is a new Father. Congratulations Brother D.J. and Ashley. If you havent been to Lodge in a while, come by and see what youre missing.

Brothers: A special fund has been established to purchase a portable defibrillator for the Lodge. As our Lodge Treasury is in the red and the cost of the defibrillator is significant, it was decided to request special donations from the members. The defibrillator will also require periodic maintenance so any extra money collected would be used for that purpose. If you would like to contribute please mail your check to Orange Park Lodge No. 267, 511 Kingsley Ave., Orange Park, FL 32073. Mark it defibrillator fund. A one-time use of this device to help save a Brothers life would pay back the cost many times over.
MASONIC MEMBERSHIP CARD who have sworn to defend and protect mine as I have sworn to defend and protect theirs. It tells me that should I ever be overtaken by adversity or misfortune through no fault of my own, the hands of every Mason on the face of the earth will be stretched forth to assist me in my necessities. And finally, it tells me that when my final exit from the stage of life has been made, there will be gathered around my lifeless body, friends and brothers who will recall to mind my virtues, though they be but few, and will forget my faults, though they may be many. It tells me that, and a great deal more, this little card, and makes me proud yet humble, that I can possess this passport into a society of friends and brothers that are numbered in the millions. SO MOTE IT BE !!

I hold in my hand a little scrap of paper 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches in size. It is of no intrinsic worth, ... not a bond, not a check or receipt for valuables, yet it is my most priceless possession. It is my membership card in a Masonic Lodge. Orange Park Lodge Ritual Competition Team took first place in the statewide competition associated with the Grand Lodge Communication in the Orlando area with a score of 975! Three other teams were in the competition. The Orange ParkTeam was made up of the following Brothers of Orange Park Lodge. Five points is deducted for each word missed, extra word added or a mistake in movement with the floor work. It takes tremendous concentration and many hours of practice to achieve a good score. At a Called Communication of Orange Park Lodge on May 14, 2012, Brothers Aaron Johnson, Gerald Ward, Diego Aragona, Miguel Codicido, and Casey Woods were Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft. Brother Mark Balester sat in the East for his first time for this degree.
