Welcome to Web 2.0 Tools for Assessment!

Course Syllabus
Course Description
Education is changing due to technology access for both teachers and students.
There are many free tools on the internet that you can use to jazz up your teaching and
more importantly, use for both formative and summative assessment in the classroom.
This ON!NE course "ill introduce you to over #$ tools as you are challenged to create
assessments "ith them at all levels of %loom&s ta'onomy. (ou "ill develop a "ebsite to
display and store all of your "or) in this course so that you can easily incorporate your
learning into the classroom.
Course *oals and E'pectations
The goal of this course is for you to develop a repertoire of "eb #.$ tools for
formative and summative assessment in the classroom. +pecific learning targets "ill be
listed at the beginning of each of si' lesson presentations delivered through ,oodle-

Lessons are posted on Mondays and assignments are due the following
Tuesdays at midnight. Each lesson presentation begins "ith targets follo"ed by
activities to help you learn the targets. +pecifics for completing assignments are given
