The proposed system will be a web-based traffic updating system to be developed for City Traffic Police Department Faisalabad. It will base on Geographic Information System (GIS). It will help to visualize the updated road traffic map which describes the blocked roads as well as open roads via web application. It will also track down the alternate route against the jammed road. It will get rid of complex traffic blockage caused by the situation that the vehicles continually becoming the part of jam because the drivers dont know the road is jam ahead. Proposed system has an attractive graphical user interface that will facilitate the user to interact with the system. This system will have Geoserver at backend with Oracle Spatial (11g) as database and Java script and frontend GUI will be designed in HTML5.

E. Project Objectives: Provide Traffic plans to user via web site. Blocked roads identification. Provide alternate routes against blocked roads.

With the help of the information of the areas where traffic is jam, an easy, quick and comfortable road travelling is made possilbe For the assistance of anyone on the internet, the availability of such a map which is identifying all the jam road. If a person has selected a specific path to go somewhere and in the meantime traffic is jam on the road then sending an alert to change the path.
