Project Name : Finger Print Recognition

There are various applications of Image Processing and it can be applied to many fields.

The area of Image processing is just developing, and shows the tremendous potentialities for widespread use in the future. In this project, Finger Print Recognition is implemented using MATLAB. A novel texture-based Fingerprint recognition System is proposed. Then, a set of invariant moment features, as a kind of texture features, are extracted from a Region of Interest (ROI) area based on the reference point from the enhanced fingerprint image. Each set of invariant moments contain seven invariant moments. Fingerprint verification is realized by Euclidean distance between the two corresponding features of the test fingerprint image and template fingerprint image in the database. Thus project uses various Image and signal processing operations for Finger print Recognition, Database is maintained, Finger plate template can be added and removed as per the need. In this project, Finger Print Recognition is implemented using MATLAB.
