I am an elementary art teacher and artist in Traverse City, Michigan. I am committed to ensuring an art experience rich in hands-on learning, critical thinking, and creativity.

In Traverse City Area Public Schools I have taught at the high school and elementary level. Subjects include sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, and general art.

As an aide in a before and after school program in Marquette I was responsible for K-5 students.

I worked with students with special needs at the elementary and high school ages as a one-on-one aide and was responsible for implementing behavior plans, physical therapy and individual education plans.

Teaching Family Homes is a residential treatment facility for children who have been abused or neglected and have mental health issues. I worked directly in the residential homes and was responsible for daily activities and implementing a behavior modification program.

I helped organize a psychological study on gender development as part of a research program out of the Department of Psychology.

The Bonifas Fine Art Center is where I first taught art. Through the Bonifas, I taught art at the Hannahville Indian Reservation in a K-5 after school program and at the art center as a ceramics teacher.
