Organization - Above it All Airport Security Team and staffs Task Airport Security Training Assessments Focus groups were developed for each area of our present training program, the AIA Security Procedures Program, to determine what the needs are in relation to the latest information after December Attacks on Detroit Metro Airport. The additions were incorporated and updated training for security management, transportation security teams, and all Above It All Airport personnel is necessary.

Evaluation present security measures A thorough walkthrough or drill was completed on off hours using a mock scenario similar to the incident in Detroit. The team enacting the scenario was monitored closely to determine areas for improvement. Identified potential threat and vulnerable checkpoints During the drill all threats or vulnerabilities were identified and recorded. These were evaluated and thoroughly examined by Airport Security Management and Airport Leadership director. The results were compared to the current AIA Security Procedures Program and based on findings this training needs assessment will address these areas. An open ended survey has been drafted for completion and includes the following areas for feedback or comments to assess current level of training. -Passenger services including reservations and passenger identity confirmation -Holiday and seasonal security ad hoc hiring and clearance -Procedures for working with communication area transmissions, passenger and baggage clearance -Ramp loading and unloading operations -Monitoring Aircraft Caterer Services -A review of Aircraft Cleaning and restock procedures -Reviewing fueling procedures -Updates to Baggage loading, scanners, load weight controls -Monitoring Crew transport for clearance and protection -HAZMAT Procedures -Updates to Passenger identity clearance procedures -Revise Passenger Threat and Metal detectors and canine walkthrough

The survey is being given to all AIA personnel to get feedback of what each member of the organization feels about the current security program and whether they have observed any break downs in communication or security breaches. Person Analysis -Security Manager -Security Assistant Manager -Transportation Security Guards -Above it All Personnel (All employees ie. CEO, Management Teams including Security staffs, Pilots, Stewardesses, Ticket Agents, Baggage Couriers, and Sanitation Department.) Outcomes The outcomes of the survey are to determine any breaches in security that may have been observed by our personnel that has not been reported. It is also an evaluation of how well the AIA Security Procedure Program is understood and followed by AIA staffs as a whole. Once the survey has been completed online, the results will be examined by Security Management and AIA Leadership team along with a third party security firm SSS to determine next steps.

Training Evaluation

AAA recognizes that training is an integral part of ensuring that all volunteers understand and are aware of their roles and responsibilities in providing and maintaining a safe environment. Training may be conducted in-house or external-training programs may be provided. Instructions: Each person will take one of the sheets below, discuss and design an impact evaluation to measure the impacts of the program. Name of the Trainee; ___________________________________________________________ Name of course: ___________________________________________________________ Name of the instructor: _____________________________________________________ 1 .Course Material How would you rate the following in a scale from 1 to 10? a) Overall course material: ____________________ b) Clarity of objectives: ____________________ c) Explanation and contents: ____________________ c) Presentation and Comprehension: ____________________ Any other comment: ______________________________________________________ .______________________________________________________________________ .______________________________________________________________________ .______________________________________________________________________ 1. Instructor a) Were all of the topics covered by your instructor? ___________________________ b) Were the instructions clear? _____________________________ c) Did you find your classes interesting? _____________________________ d) Did your instructor answer your queries to sastification? _____________________________________ 1. Skills acquisition and Knowledge gain

a) Does this course meet your expectations? ______________________________ b) Is it relevant to your business? ______________________________ c) Would you recommend this course to others? ______________________________ Your remarks: ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ 1. Facilities and Infrastructure. a) The infrastructure were well maintained and easily accessible (yes/no) ____________________________________________________________________. b) The devices and equipments (projectors/computers etc) were functional ____________________________________________________________________. 1. Your overall comments and suggestion: ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ Those who design or use data from employee questionnaires must be careful to distinguish instruments that ask employees to evaluate courses from those that ask them to evaluate the instruction or the trainer... Forms are often constructed to ask employees to rate various aspects of a job and then to provide a rating for the trainers performance.

1. My first choice of methods is going to be Presentation Method. The presentation method is when trainees are passive recipients of information .Lectures and audiovisual techniques are presentation methods. In the lecture the trainers communicate through spoken words what they went the trainees to learn. A lecture is one of the least expensive, least time-consuming ways to present a large amount of information. Analysis: AAA Security will use Presentation method to conduct training in the facility. Advantages- Team teaching brings more expertise and alternative perspectives to the training session. Team teaching does require more time on the part of trainers to not only prepare their particular

session but also coordinate with other trainers, especially when there is a great deal of integration between topics. Panels are good for showing trainees different viewpoints in a debate. Disadvantages- A potential disadvantage of a panel is that trainees who are relatively naive about a topic may have difficulty understanding the important points. Lectures tend to lack participant involvement, feedback, and meaningful connection to the work environmentall of which inhibit learning and transfer of training. Lectures appeal to few of the trainees' senses because trainees focus primarily on hearing information. Lectures also make it difficult for the trainer to judge quickly and efficiently the learners' level of understanding. To overcome these problems, the lecture is often supplemented with question-and-answer periods, discussion, video, games, or case studies. These techniques allow the trainer to build into the lecture more active participation, job-related examples, and exercises, which facilitate learning and transfer of training.

2. My second choice is Hands-On method. Hands on methods are training methods that require the trainee to be actively involved in learning. These methods include on-the-job training, simulations, case studies, business games, role plays, and behavior modeling. These methods are ideal for developing specific skills, understanding how skills and behaviors can be transferred to the job, experiencing all aspects of completing a task, or dealing with interpersonal issues that arise on the job. (Training book) Analysis- AAA security will have various Hands on equipment to assist them in their training. Advantages- OJT is an attractive training method because compared to other methods; it needs less investment in time or money for materials, trainer's salary, or instructional design. Managers or peers who are job knowledge experts are used as instructors. As a result, it may be tempting to let them conduct the training as they believe it should be done. Disadvantages- There is several disadvantages to this unstructured approach to OJT. Managers and peers may not use the same process to complete a task. They may pass on bad habits as well as useful skills. Also, they may not understand that demonstration, practice, and feedback are important conditions for effective on-the-job training. Unstructured OJT can result in poorly trained employees, in employees who use ineffective or dangerous methods to produce a product or provide a service, and in products or services that vary in quality. Self-Directed Learning- It allows trainees to learn at their own pace and receive feedback about the learning performance. For the company, self-directed learning requires fewer trainers, reduces costs associated with travel and meeting rooms, and makes multiple-site training more realistic. Self-directed learning provides consistent training content that captures the knowledge of experts. Self-directed learning also makes it easier for shift employees to gain access to training materials Disadvantages- A major disadvantage of self-directed learning is that trainees must be willing to learn on their own and feel comfortable doing so. That is, trainees must be motivated to learn. From the

company perspective, self-directed learning results in higher development costs, and development time is longer than with other types of training programs. 3. Group Building Method- is training methods designed to improve team or group effectiveness. Training is directed at improving the trainees' skills as well as team effectiveness. In group building methods, trainees share ideas and experiences, build group identity, understand the dynamics of interpersonal relationships, and get to know their own strengths and weaknesses and those of their co-workers. Group techniques focus on helping teams increase their skills for effective teamwork. A number of training techniques are available to improve work group or team performance, to establish a new team, or to improve interactions among different teams Analysis- AAA security will use this in training in groups to help other employees learn the proper way to do the security

I chose to go with the presentation method. I think the presentation method will work better for my AAA security because my employees work well and much better when a trainer is talking and teaching what their job responsibilities is to do. When I do these methods it brings in much more expertise and very good ideas to the training sessions. It gives employees a chance to tell their ideas and explain what is going on.
