sentimenti? An intense frontal system will move onto British Columbia coast today spreading snow to the inland
sections of the coastal regions. Per esempio, martedì giornata serena, niente foschi pensieri, solo
qualche nebbia
mentale al mattino. Snowfall accumulations of 15 to 20 cm are expected over the Whistler area from this
afternoon through Thursday morning.
This front also generates strong west to
southwest winds over the Southern Gulf Islands and the west coast of Vancouver Island the front moves inland and
weakens.

Extreme wind chill conditions are no longer forecast for bc Peace River. A wind chill warning may be re-issued for

Thursday night.

i soldi. Motorists should be prepared to alter travel plans due to hazardous driving conditions along the highway
passes.

fa sentire vivi.
Near zero visibilities in blowing snow are reported in many areas of the Slave Lake region this morning - especially in
the vicinity of the lake. The snow is being whipped up by strong west wind.

Meteorology of feelings (meteorologia dei sentimenti)

From the 43rd floor of the south tower of the Manitoba Hotel, Mr. P. watches the sun rising on
the forest of maple trees surrounding the lake, the light slowly expands like a dense liquid over
the dark mass of trees, warms up the air and chases away the haze of the night.
With a cup of coffee in his hand, Mr. P. listens to the weather forecast on the radio, it will be a
bad day. How would it be - thinks Mr. P. - to have a forecast of our own thoughts, of our own
feelings?
An intense frontal system will move onto British Columbia coast today spreading snow to the inland sections of the
coastal regions.
For example, Tuesday, a serene day, no gloomy thoughts, only a slight mental fogginess in the
morning.
Snowfall accumulations of 15 to 20 cm are expected over the Whistler area from this afternoon through Thursday
morning.
Or: warning of the weather office for Thursday, feelings expected that could kill you like a
lighting in a storm, don’t look for shelter under the same old illusions but arrange for proper
entertainment and distractions ……
This front also generates strong west to southwest winds over the Southern Gulf Islands and the west coast of
Vancouver Island the front moves inland and weakens.
Mr. P. now imagines the pointer on the map of a brain, indicating a vast area of high depression
with possibilities of nervous slides and hysteric floods.
Extreme wind chill conditions are no longer forecast for bc Peace River. A wind chill warning may be re-issued for
Thursday night.
There would probably be insurances against violent falls in love, panic attacks or sudden
generosity towards unknown people. It shouldn’t sound too strange when you think that, at the
Chicago stock-exchange, sales prevail when the wind is strong, someone got rich with that.
Motorists should be prepared to alter travel plans due to hazardous driving conditions along the highway passes.
But the nice thing of sentiments - thinks Mr. P.- is that they take us by surprise, and this makes
us feel alive.
Near zero visibilities in blowing snow are reported in many areas of the Slave Lake region this morning - especially in
the vicinity of the lake. The snow is being whipped up by strong west wind.
From the 43rd floor of the south tower of the Manitoba Hotel, Mr. P. watches the sun going
down on the forest of maple trees surrounding the lake, the light slowly dries up overwhelmed
by the night, the brilliant colours of the tree leaves, violet, yellow and red, fade out a little at a
time. With a cup of coffee in his hand, Mr. P. listens to the weather forecast on the radio,
tomorrow will be a nice day.
