Objectives
Harnessing the results of research and development, incubators and venture capital support for entrepreneurs, access to modern infrastructure are the key drivers for accelerated economic growth. Nurturing innovation and bringing out new products and processes are the hall mark of professionals in advanced countries. Small beginnings have been made in our country towards these objectives and much more remains to be done. In order to deliberate on the related issues, the Indian Technology Congress is proposed to be held during 13-14 July 2012 at J.N. Tata Auditorium, IISc, Bangalore. Synchronizing with Technology Day Celebrations of 2012 the Congress will bring together eminent researchers, academicians, MSMEs, large industries, funding agencies, and policy makers, to plan and develop strategies and road maps for accelerated industrial growth of our country. The congress will focus on new knowledge and Innovations coming out of Academic Institutions, national laboratories, research institutions and their successful exploitation. Information on government initiatives for promoting sponsored research and funding schemes, entrepreneurship development activities and strengthening MSME linkages for augmenting R&D infrastructure, employment generation and promoting Indian Technologies and Products in the world market will be addressed. How to make Made in India products conquer major share of the world market will also be deliberated.

Call for Papers


Papers are invited on all aspects of the thrust areas of the ITC 2012. Authors are requested to submit abstract(s) of about 300 words. Decision on suitability of the paper/s will be conveyed after scrutiny of the abstract. Authors will have to register as Delegates to present selected paper/s. All abstracts of papers will be published for distribution at the Conference. Authors can email the Abstract/ Full Paper, on or before 5 June 2012 to The Convener, Indian Technology Congress - 2012. Selected Papers will be published in a Special Issue of ITC 2012 (July September 2012) of "Manufacturing Technology & Management (MT&M)" - Quarterly Journal published by Indian Institution of Production Engineers (IIPE) and ITC 2012 in process of finalizing with other Technical Journal Publishers.
