REFLECTION

Introduction: This is the topic about the language arts. I was hoping that my pupils can at least grasp at least 85% of the lesson since they've learned this in the classroom. Strengths: For this topic, I only use the song of Get To Know Your 5 Senses for singing. I am happy because using a song which tune they were familiar with, helped them to remember the song well. I did drilling as well and I made a game out of the activity (taking into account that they would probably having a really fun time saying the names that they were already familiar with). I perfomed the song into a powerpoint slide and I can see that they were really into the activity! Firstly, I was singing slowly step by step of the song. Then the pupils will follow us to sing a song while made an action. After that, I will divide pupils to the small group and make sure the pupils action according a ball roll and with the activities all the pupils will took part. With this activities, the pupils will get the ball after roll will come out with one senses. Weakness: Nevertheless, I have forgotten that they still needed to familiarize themselves with the words and the action that we made. I have left this out and when I gave them the exercise, they managed to answer verbally but a little bit of them failed to perfom because of feel ashamed and quiet a slow learner. Ways to improve: I must remember that in the future, I must also drill them in the spelling and speaking not on the pronunciation and action only. The materials were already there, but I got to admit that I have forgotten to utilize it!
