SILICONE SEALANTS & COATINGS:

Presented by Sherilyn Hopkins Manufacturers Representative for MOMENTIVE, G.E. Silicone Sealants
Silicone Sealants were introduced to the construction industry in the 1960s. Since then, due to its inorganic properties, it has become a proven/reliable sealant choice by many owners, architects, and consultants. The products have evolved through improved formulations to address construction challenges of weather sealing, structural applications, and staining. NEW derivatives of silicones have made it possible for Air Water Barrier Systems. Due to its properties, it is an excellent product to be used behind any panel systems, barrier and open joint. It can be exposed to the UV for 10 years, eliminates many compatibility issues on a faade with multiple substrates and transitions, and has a high temperature threshold. Refresh on the properties of silicones and how it should be installed. In addition, learn about the new generation of products and applications.
