SWOR Analysis

AREA
Strengths
The hospital provided adequate services necessary for the needs of the in-patient and out-patient. Providing quality health care for their patients and trailing their mission and vision. The operating room is equipped with essential things needed for the operation. The place maintains its sterility.

Weakness
Chairs are few

Opportunities
There were many rare of major and minor cases giving opportunities to the students. Give us more knowledge of the procedures and equipment on the OR.

Recommendations
Continue on giving quality and holistic care for the patients. Have extra chairs for student use.

STAFFS
Strengths
Some of staffs were approachable and smiling. They show respect to each members of healthcare team. They were very resourceful nevertheless very efficient and effective in rendering quality health care. They are assertive in the things they were doing. Some of them are willing to teach and guide student nurses like us.

Weakness
Some staffs were not that approachable. Sometimes there is lack of coordination of staff to the students. Some of the staff failed to double check soiled linens in the two canesters.

Opportunities
The students were able to approach the nurses and feel that they belong to the health care team. The students were not hesitant to ask questions on the staffs. The staffs were able to teach the students in the procedures being done.

Recommendations
Keep on being humble, responsible and selfworthy in the profession. Continue to attend seminars or special sessions that could make them more competent because learning is a non-stop process. Be more approachable.

EXPERIENCES
Strengths
It was challenging to those first timers in special area and for some, it was a tough job The orientation serve as a big guide during our stay in OR.

Weakness
A bit nervous for being a first timer in operating room especially when you are the one assisting to the doctors in a particular procedure. Needs to improve assisting ability in any procedures in OR. Modulation of voices were not maintained

Opportunities
Some surgical cases we handled were rare and served as a big opportunity for the group. Have seen the ideal instruments to be used in a particular procedure in OR. Have the opportunity to see and learn the actual anatomy of the human body.

Recommendations
Keep on exploring the real essence of being an OR nurse. Keep striving to enhance more knowledge being a competent nurse in the future. Always serve patients as a family member.
