ownership by providing long-term finance to households for their housing needs. INDUS IND was promoted with an initial share capital of Rs. 100 million.

IndusInd Bank has 365 branches, and 674 ATMs spread across 254 geographic locations of the country as on December 31, 2011.The Bank also has 2 Representative offices, one each in London and Dubai.

It enjoys clearing bank status for both major stock exchanges - BSE and NSE - and three major commodity exchanges in the country - MCX, NCDEX, and NMCE

The aim of the project is to analyze the important factors of the Credit Appraisal process adopted by the major Housing Finance Institutions with particular reference to INDUS IND and on comparison of the Credit Appraisal process of the various players in the field, suggest scope for improvement if any, in the Credit Appraisal system of INDUS IND

The mode of collection of data will be based on Survey Method and Field Activity. Primary data collection will base on personal interview. I have prepared the questionnaire according to the necessity of the data to be collected. Research tool ; Questionnaire used here is structured. The questions used here are dichotomous, multiple choice . Research technique ; The research technique used here is descriptive.

INDUSIND BANK is having good brand image in the minds of customers. Majority of the people have got loans from INDUSIND BANK only Most of the customers are not aware of the products of INDUSIND home loans Some of the customers felt that the interest rates are some what high Some of the customer not having good faith on private banks like Standard chartered bank, HSBC bank etc. Most of the people directly go to INDUSIND to apply a home loan Some of the customer of INDUSIND already benefited through INDUSIND home loan products and services INDUSIND BANK is providing good services to their customers.

To increase their customers, the INDUSIND BANK should provide specialized services in this sector. The INDUSIND BANK should use easy procedure, or say, less lengthy procedure for the sanctioning of loan to the customer Charges Create awareness The company has to reduce their interest rates on home loan products and services.

1) In my study we came to know that many peoples are interested to take a home loan from INDUSIND BANK to construct their homes. 2) Home loans have long period when compare to other personal loans and other loans. So peoples are confused to take a home loan. 3) Even though the interest rates are high peoples are willing to take a loan from INDUS IND BANK due to certain reasons. 4) The loan sanction process is low when compare to other banks. 5) The disbursement process very effective as it time when compared to other banks
