Bandage scissors

Description: Angled tip scissors, with a blunt tip on the bottom blade. Uses: To cut through custom-fit bandages. To cut through medical gauze. To cut through bandages already in place.

Tissue Forcep

Description:

Tissue forceps have small sharp teeth on the end of the non-serrated tips. Serrated handles for a secure grip.
To grasp heavy tissues while they are being sutured, dissected or excised. used to grasp the skin

Neddle holder

Description: also called needle drive The parts of a simple needle holder are the jaws, the joint and the handles. Most needle holders also have a clamp mechanism that locks the needle in place, allowing the user to maneuver the needle through various tissues. To maintain a firm grip on the needle, the jaws are often textured and short compared to the handles Uses: hold a suturing needle for closing wounds during suturing and surgical procedures

Kelly forcep

Description:

Other names: Rochester Pean maybe curve or straight. to clamp larger vessels and tissue. Available in short and long sizes

Hemostat (straight &curve)

Description: Other names: crile, snap or stat, hemostatic clamp, arterial forceps or peang . A hinge, crushing instrument with a locking device on the handles, which holds the jaws, when closed. Uses: To clamp and restrict arteries or tissue, to control the flow of blood, tag sutures

Allis

Description: An instrument resembling a pair of pincers or tongs, used for grasping, manipulating, or extracting, especially such an instrument used by a surgeon Smooth jaws with 4 x 5 fine teeth at tips, 6 in long. Uses: To grasp heavy tissue, abdominal muscles, for grasping

Description: Forceps with loop blades which are also semicircular in sagittal cross-section. Designed to hold a short length of intestine without compressing it. Uses: To grasp delicate tissues; appendix, intestine, fallopian tube, ovary. Grasping for grasping soft tissue or bowel

Army Navy

Description:

Other names: USA, US Army. A handheld retractor with broad blades used for large muscles. Double-ended, 8 in. long used to retract shallow or superficial incisions.

Uses:

Adson w/ Teeth

Description:

Standard tissue forceps with the opposing blade surfaces covered with long, needle-like teeth. Small serrated teeth on edge of tips. To grasp very delicate tissues, nerve, or blood vessel for suturing, dissecting or excising.

Uses:

Thumb Forcep

Description: also called "rat tooth forceps." Six inch stainless steel, one hand operation tweezer; packed in protective sleeve; easy to keep or get sterile and clean; Uses: To grasp and handle dressing and other material, to grasp tough tissue (fascia, breast). use for splinter removal, sponging wounds, suture removal, handling other instruments and procedures.

Metzenbaum

Mayo Scissors (straight)

Description:

Heavy-duty surgical sissors with narrowed but blunt pointed blades, which may be straight or curved. General purpose and suture cutting scissors, normally not used on tissue. To cut sutures, clothing, bandages

Uses:

Curved Mayo Scissors

Description: Heavy-duty surgical sissors with narrowed but blunt pointed blades, which may be straight or curved. Uses: to cut heavy tissue (fascia, muscle, uterus, breast). Common to most surgical trays, used for cutting dense tissue where metz scissors are too delicate.

Bandage Scissors

Description:

Angled tip scissors, with a blunt tip on the bottom blade.

Uses:

To cut through custom-fit bandages. To cut through medical gauze. To cut through bandages already in place.

Description:

Needle Holder

Description: 6 and 7 in. long. The jaws are milled for nonslip grip on needle. The jaws of regular stainless steel needle holders cannot be replaced; in many situations the TC needle holder is therefore the more economical choice. Uses: To hold and guide suture needles securely for suturing

To attach towels, to handle sponges and other material To hold drapes in place, to retract tissues.

Deaver Retractor

Description:

Three widths, narrow, medium 1 , wide 2 in., 12 in. long To retract abdominal wall and organs. used to retract deep abdominal or chest incisions

Description:

Description:

Double-ended, small & large 9 in. long. to retract deep abdominal or chest incisions.

Kidney Basin

Description: shallow container for medical items: a shallow kidney-shaped container Uses: to hold soiled dressings, fluids, needles, or the instruments needed for a minor procedure, used to hold tagged sponges

Placental Bowl

Description:

an open container, usually round in shape and wider than it is deep Container for placenta, or container for fluids

Uses:

Poole Suction

Description: Fenestrated removable tip 9 in long and in diameter. Uses: To remove fluid from abdominal cavity. All of the holes around the poole suction allow it to suck up large amounts of fliud without getting clogged. Perfect after irrigating the abdominal cavity

Ring Forcep

Uses:

to grasp sponges Used to atraumatically hold viscera (bowel and bladder).

Tray

Description:

A shallow flat receptacle with a raised edge or rim


Useful for holding other trays and accessories.
