Has taught (you mankind) the Qur’ân (by His Mercy).

َ ‫خَلَقَ الِْنسَا‬
‫ن‬
সৃিি কেরেেন মানুষ
He created man
3 me
َ‫عَلّمَهُ الْبَيَان‬
তােক িিিিেয়েেন বণণনা
He taught him eloquent speech
4 me
ٍ‫الشّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَان‬
সূযণ ও চন িহসাবমত চেে
The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly)
calculated with measured out stages for each (for
reckoning, etc.).
5 me
ِ‫وَالنّجْمُ وَالشّجَرُ يَسْجُدَان‬
এবং তৃণেতা ও বৃকািি েসজিারত আেে
And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate
6 me
َ‫وَالسّمَاء رَفَعَهَا َو َوضَعَ الْمِيزَان‬
িতিন আকািেক কেরেেন সমুনত এবং সাপন কেরেেন তুোিন
And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the
Balance
7 me
ِ‫أَلّ تَطْ َغوْا فِي الْمِيزَان‬
যােত েতামরা সীমােংঘন না কর তুোিেন
In order that you may not transgress (due) balance
8 me
‫ط وَلَ تُخْسِرُوا‬ِ ْ‫وَأَقِيمُوا ا ْلوَزْنَ بِالْقِس‬
َ‫الْمِيزَان‬
েতামরা নযাযয ওজন কােয়ম কর এবং ওজেন কম িিেয়া না
And observe the weight with equity and do not make

the balance deficient.

ِ‫ض َوضَعَهَا لِلَْنَام‬
َ ْ‫وَالَْر‬
িতিন পৃিিবীেক সাপন কেরেেন সৃিজীেবর জেনয
And the earth He has put for the creatures.

ِ‫خلُ ذَاتُ الَْكْمَام‬
ْ ّ‫فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالن‬
এেত আেে ফেমূে এবং বিহরাবরণিবিিি িজুণর বৃক
Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-
stalks (enclosing dates)

ُ‫ف وَالرّيْحَان‬
ِ ْ‫حبّ ذُو الْ َعص‬
َ ْ‫وَال‬
আর আেে েিাসািবিিি িসয ও সুগিি ফুে
And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and
sweet-scented plants.

ِ‫فَبِأَيّ آلَء رَبّكُمَا تُكَذّبَان‬
অতএব, েতামরা উভেয় েতামােির পােনকতণার েকান েকান অনুগহেক অসীকার করেব?
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns
and men) deny?

ِ‫خَلَقَ الِْنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخّار‬
িতিন মানুষেক সৃিি কেরেেন েপাড়া মািির নযায় শষ মৃিিকা েিেক
He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of
pottery.

ٍ‫وَخَلَقَ الْجَانّ مِن مّارِجٍ مّن نّار‬
এবং িজনেক সৃিি কেরেেন অিিিিিা েিেক
And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire.

অতএব, েতামরা উভেয় েতামােির পােনকতণার েকান েকান অনুগহ অসীকার করেব?
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both
(jinns and men) deny?

ِ‫الْ َمغْرِ َبيْن‬ ّ‫وَرَب‬ ِ‫الْمَشْرِقَيْن‬ ّ‫رَب‬
িতিন দই উিয়াচে ও দই অসাচেেরমািেক
(He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during
early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two
wests (places of sunset during early summer and early
winter).

অতএব, েতামরা উভেয় েতামােির পােনকতণার েকান েকান অবিানেক অসীকার করেব?

ِ‫مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ َيلْتَقِيَان‬
িতিন পািাপািি দই িিরয়া পবািহত কেরেেন
He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the
sweet) meeting together.

ِ‫بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لّ يَبْغِيَان‬
উভেয়র মাঝিােন রেয়েে এক অনরাে, যা তারা অিতকম কের না
Between them is a barrier which none of them can
transgress

ُ‫يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا الّلؤْلُ ُؤ وَالْمَرْجَان‬
উভয় িিরয়া েিেক উৎপন হয় েমািত ও পবাে
Out of them both come out pearl and coral.

ِ‫وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْر‬
ِ‫كَالَْعْلَم‬
িিরয়ায় িবচরণিীে পবণতিৃিয জাহাজসমূহ তঁারই (িনয়ননাধীন)
And His are the ships going and coming in the seas,
like mountains.

ٍ‫ ُكلّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَان‬
ভূপৃেির সবিকেুই ধংসিীে
Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish.

ِ‫لل‬
َ َ‫وَيَبْقَى وَجْهُ رَبّكَ ذُو الْج‬
ِ‫وَالِْكْرَام‬
একমাত আপনার মিহমায় ও মহানুভব পােনকতণার সিা োড়া
And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will
abide forever.

َ‫يَسَْألُهُ مَن فِي السّمَاوَاتِ وَالَْرْضِ كُلّ يَوْمٍ هُو‬
ٍ‫فِي شَأْن‬
নেভামনে ও ভূমনেের সবাই তঁার কােে পািণী। িতিন সবণিাই েকান না েকান কােজ রত আেেন
Whosoever is in the heavens and on earth begs of Him (its needs from
Him). Every day He has a matter to bring forth (such as giving honour
to some, disgrace to some, life to some, death to some, etc.)!

ِ‫سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيّهَا الثّقَلَن‬
েহ িজন ও মানব! আিম িীঘই েতামােির জেনয কমণমুক হেয় যাব।
We shall attend to you, O you two classes (jinns and men)!

forgive me
‫يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنّ وَالِْنسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا‬
َ‫مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السّمَاوَاتِ وَالَْرْضِ فَانفُذُوا ل‬
ٍ‫تَنفُذُونَ إِلّ بِسُلْطَان‬
েহ িজন ও মানবকূে, নেভামনে ও ভূমনেের পান অিতকম করা যিি েতামােির সােধয কুোয়, তেব অিতকম কর। িকন
োড়পত বযতীত েতামরা তা অিতকম করেত পারেব না।
O assembly of jinns and men! If you have power to pass beyond the zones of the
heavens and the earth, then pass (them)! But you will never be able to pass them,
except with authority (from Allâh)!

ٍ‫يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مّن نّار‬
ِ‫وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَ تَنتَصِرَان‬
োড়া হেব েতামােির পিত অিিসুিেঙ ও ধুমকুঞ তিন েতামরা েসসব পিতহত করেত পারেব
না।
There will be sent against you both, smokeless flames of fire
and (molten) brass, and you will not be able to defend
yourselves.

অতএব, েতামরা উভেয় েতামােির পােনকতণার েকান েকান অবিানেক অসীকার
করেব?
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you
both (jinns and men) deny?

ً‫فَإِذَا انشَقّتِ السّمَاء فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَة‬
ِ‫كَالدّهَان‬
েযিিন আকাি িবিীণণ হেব তিন েসিি রকবেণণ রিঞত চামড়ার মত হেয় যােব।
Then when the heaven is rent asunder, and it becomes
rosy or red like red-oil, or red hide.

ٌ‫فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لّ يُسْأَلُ عَن ذَنبِهِ إِنس‬
ّ‫وَلَ جَان‬
েসিিন মানুষ না তার অপরাধ সমেকণ িজজািসত হেব, না িজন
So on that Day no question will be asked of
man or jinn as to his sin, (because they have
already been known from their faces either
white or black).

Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will
you both (jinns and men) deny?

ْ‫يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُم‬
ِ‫فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنّوَاصِي وَالَْقْدَام‬
অপরাধীেির পিরচয় পাওয়া যােব তােির েচহারা েিেক; অতঃপর তােির কপােের চুে
ও পা ধের েিেন েনয়া হেব।
The Mujrimûn (polytheists, criminals, sinners,
etc.) will be known by their marks (black faces),
and they will be seized by their forelocks and
their feet.

‫هَذِهِ جَهَنّمُ الّتِي يُكَذّبُ بِهَا‬
َ‫الْمُجْرِمُون‬
এিাই জাহানাম, যােক অপরাধীরা িমিযা বেত
This is Hell which the Mujrimûn (polytheists, criminals, sinners,
etc.) denied.

ٍ‫يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آن‬
তারা জাহানােমর অিি ও ফুিন পািনর মাঝিােন পিিকণ করেব।
They will go between it (Hell) and the boiling hot water!

ِ‫ج ّنتَان‬
َ ِ‫وَِلمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبّه‬
েয বযিক তার পােনকতণার সামেন েপি হওয়ার ভয় রােি, তার জেনয রেয়েে দ’িি উিযান।
But for him who [the true believer of Islâmic Monotheism who
performs all the duties ordained by Allâh and His Messenger
Muhammad SAW , and keeps away (abstain) from all kinds
of sin and evil deeds prohibited in Islâm and] fears the
standing before his Lord, there will be two Gardens (i.e. in
Paradise).

ِ‫فَبَِأيّ آلَء رَبّكُمَا تُكَذّبَان‬
forgive me
ٍ‫ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَان‬
উভয় উিযানই ঘন িািা-পলবিবিিি
With spreading branches;

ِ‫فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَان‬
উভয় উিযােন আেে বহমান দই পসবন
In them (both) will be two springs flowing (free)

ِ‫فِيهِمَا مِن كُلّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَان‬
উভেয়র মেধয পেতযক ফে িবিভন রকেমর হেব
In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs.

ْ‫مُتّكِئِينَ عَلَى فُرُشٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِن‬
ٍ‫إِسْتَبْرَقٍ وَجَنَى الْجَنّتَيْنِ دَان‬
তারা তিায় েরিেমর আসরিবিিি িবোনায় েহোন িিেয় বসেব। উভয় উিযােনর ফে তােির িনকি
ঝুেেব।
Reclining upon the couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruits of
the two Gardens will be near at hand.

ّ‫فِيهِنّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُن‬
ّ‫إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَ جَان‬
তিায় িাকেব আনতনয়ন রমনীগন, েকান িজন ও মানব পূেবণ যােির বযবহার কেরিন
Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances
upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has
opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them.

ُ‫كَأَنّهُنّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَان‬
পবাে ও পদরাগ সিৃি রমণীগণ
(In beauty) they are like rubies and coral.

ُ‫ َهلْ جَزَاء الِْحْسَانِ إِلّ الِْحْسَان‬
সৎকােজর পিতিান উিম পুরসার বযতীত িক হেত পাের?
Is there any reward for good other than good?

Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and
men) deny?

ِ‫وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنّتَان‬
এই দ’িি োড়া আরও দ’িি উিযান রেয়েে
And besides these two, there are two other Gardens
(i.e. in Paradise).

ِ‫مُدْهَامّتَان‬
কােোমত ঘন সবুজ
Dark green (in colour).

forgive me
ِ‫فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ َنضّاخَتَان‬
তিায় আেে উেেিেত দই পসবণ
In them (both) will be two springs gushing forth water

forgive me
ٌ‫فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمّان‬
তিায় আেে ফে-মূে, িজুণর ও আনার
In them (both) will be fruits, and date- palms and
pomegranates.

ٌ‫فِيهِنّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَان‬
েসিােন িাকেব সচিরতা সুনরী রমণীগণ।
Therein (gardens) will be fair (wives) good and beautiful;

ِ‫حُورٌ مّقْصُورَاتٌ فِي الْخِيَام‬
তঁাবুেত অবসানকািরণী হরগণ
Houris (beautiful, fair females) restrained in pavilions

করেব?
forgive me
ّ‫ط ِم ْثهُنّ إِنسٌ َقبَْلهُمْ وَلَ جَان‬
ْ َ‫لَمْ ي‬
েকান িজন ও মানব পূেবণ তােিরেক সিণ কেরিন
Whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened
their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them.

ٍ‫علَى رَفْرَفٍ خُضْر‬ َ َ‫مُتّكِئِين‬
ٍ‫وَعَبْقَرِيّ حِسَان‬
তারা সবুজ মসনেি এবং উৎকৃি মূেযবান িবোনায় েহোন িিেয় বসেব
Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful
mattresses

ِ‫َتبَارَكَ اسْمُ َربّكَ ذِي الْجَلَل‬
ِ‫وَالِْكْرَام‬
কত পূণযময় আপনার পােনকতণার নাম, িযিন মিহমাময় ও মহানুভব
Blessed be the Name of your Lord (Allâh), the Owner of
Majesty and Honour.
