A Trip to Remember

Question: In your opinion, does this passage take place in the past, the present, or the future? Explain how you know, and include evidence from the passage to support your answer.

What score would you give this?

I think this passage takes place in the future. I think its in the future because in the passage it says, Well be arriving at the moon in five minutes. This shows that the passage takes place in the future because we arent yet advanced enough to take vacation trips to the moon.

In this story, this is about a boy named Tyrell and his dad going to the moon. When they landed on the moon and walked through the terming they were seeing all this cool stuff and Tyrell was so excited of seeing it all and wanted to try everything, but his dad said one at a time.

To me, the story takes place in the present day. I believe this because how him and his father was talking about how everything look and what it was like. Also, because it said a two seated rocket flew by the window. There are only rockets in space. So therefore I think this took place in the present time.

This story takes place in the future. It clearly states that it took only two hours to make it to the moon, which is, as far as we know impossible. It also mentions a machine very similar to a stereo-typical hovercraft. Its most obvious however, when Tyrells father asks, didnt you take your energy pill this morning? This question suggests that the people in this story eat their meals in capsule form, something we today have yet to create.

The passage takes place in the future. I can tell that it takes place in the future by saying that there was a newer model of the shuttle and that it goes faster since he was a kid. When he said, since he was a kid. The word told me it took place in the future.
