Module Objectives
At the end of this module the trainee should be able to: Edit the common adjacency optimization parameters for a separate deletion or creation of adjacencies Set the required parameters for the automatic measurementbased adjacency optimization Perform adjacency optimization
How can I
Prerequisites
Invalid adjacencies fixed Antennas defined for every cell Interference matrix available Adjacency optimization KPIs available Adjacency Constraints have been created or imported Adjacency templates have been created for each object type Template assignment rules have been created
Common Parameters
Bidirectional optimization (recommended) Creation and deletion of adjacencies into and out from scope allowed (recommended for small scopes) Check maximum and minimum Adjacency List Lengths Changes to adjacencies between frequency bands can be disabled Frequency band specific list length settings can be enabled
For public use IPR applies 10 Nokia Siemens Networks Presentation / PLe /23.9.2011
Adjacency Deletion
Start optimization
Info column shows the creation/deletion reason Include Change column defines the results to be saved in the plan
Exercise
Check and set Common parameters Set Deletion parameters and start the optimization View the results and check different views in the Adjacency Browser Change parameters and run again Save the results into your plan
find the unused (unnecessary) adjacencies (deletion plan)? find the missing adjacencies (creation plan)?
Creation Thresholds
Theta angle limitation not necessary (because of the measurements)
Adjacency optimization
Start optimization. Before starting, check that Deletion is not selected.
Info column shows the creation/deletion reason Include Change column defines results for the save
Results
Save the results Locate on Map or List to Browser to check the templates You can select all by pressing Ctrl-A
Exercise
Check and set Common parameters Uncheck Delete Adjacencies box in the Deletion tab Set Creation parameters and find the missing adjacencies in your scope View the results in the Adjacency Browser Change parameters and run again Save the results into your plan
Summary
Prerequisites Site assignments and Antennas correctly defined Adjacency templates and template assignment rules defined Adjacency Constraints defined Measurement-based deletion of GSM adjacencies Common Parameters Deletion based on KPI values Measurement-based creation of GSM adjacencies Common Parameters Creation based on Interference Matrix values Results saved in to the plan Plan that is open when the tool is started Plan that is created after pressing the Save button After the save the results can be located on the Map and listed to the Browser
