Simple Past Tense is used to talk about a completed action in a time before now. Duration is not important. The time of the action can be in the recent past or the distant past. Simple Past Timeline

In Simple Past tense, have a Particular Time in the Past or Adverb of Time. They are:

Regular Verbs

The past form for all regular verbs ends in -ed.

Irregular Verbs

The past form for irregular verbs is variable. You need to learn it by heart.
