HYMN OF PRAISE
I SING THE MIGHTY POWER OF GOD
I sing the mighty power of God, that made the mountains rise, That spread the flowing seas abroad, and built the lofty skies. I sing the wisdom that ordained the sun to rule the day; The moon shines full at Gods command, and all the stars obey.

HYMN OF PRAISE cont I SING THE MIGHTY POWER OF GOD

I sing the goodness of the Lord, who filled the earth with food, Who formed the creatures through the Word, and then pronounced them good. Lord, how Thy wonders are displayed, whereer I turn my eye, If I survey the ground I tread, or gaze upon the sky.

HYMN OF PRAISE cont I SING THE MIGHTY POWER OF GOD

Theres not a plant or flower below, but makes Thy glories known, And clouds arise, and tempests blow, by order from Thy throne; While all that borrows life from Thee is ever in Thy care; And everywhere that we can be, Thou, God art present there.

CALL TO AWARENESS AND CONFESSION

LEADER: Jesus once told His disciples the difference between a foolish person and a wise person. Both have experiences, but the foolish one does not reflect on these experiences and therefore, never learns from them. The wise person, however, runs each experiences for his/her being, making it his/her own and learning from it. Let us make use of this moment to recall the experiences we had for the past week, and reflect on the actions we made towards our work, our nation, our church and our family. (Moment of Silent Reflection)

CALL TO AWARENESS AND CONFESSION cont.

LEADER: After much reflection and evaluation of these experiences, let us silently confess our sins. (Moment of Silent confession)

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

Refrain: Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help, Love lifted me! Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help, Love lifted me!

PASTORAL PRAYER
RESPONSE: GOD WILL MAKE A WAY God will make a way, Where there seems to be no way He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me He will be my guide , Hold me closely to His side With love and strength, For each new day He will make a way, He will make a way

THE MESSAGE

THE AFFIRMATION OF FAITH

LEADER: In response to the Word, let us affirm our faith: PEOPLE: WE BELIEVE In one God: Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer, who provides order, purpose, meaning and fulfillment to all creation. That in Jesus Christ, who was born of Mary, God became human and is Sovereign Lord of Life and history. That in the Holy Spirit God is present in the world, empowering and guiding believers to understand and live out their faith in Jesus Christ.

THE AFFIRMATION OF FAITH cont

LEADER: WE BELIEVE that persons are created in the image of God and destined to live in community with God, with other persons and with all creation. That by disobedience, they have become sinful, but by grace through faith, they are redeemed in Jesus Christ. That being entrusted with God's creation, they are called to participate in the establishment of a just and compassionate social order.

THE AFFIRMATION OF FAITH cont

WOMEN: WE BELIEVE That the Church is the one body of Christ, the whole community of persons reconciled to God through Jesus Christ and entrusted with God's ministry. MEN: WE BELIEVE That the Holy Bible is a faithful and inspired witness to God's self-revelation in Jesus Christ and in history to illumine, guide, correct and edify believers in their faith and witness.

THE AFFIRMATION OF FAITH cont

LEADER: WE BELIEVE God is at work, to make each person a new being in Christ, and the whole world, God's Kingdom -- in which love, justice and peace prevail. The Kingdom of God is present where faith in Jesus Christ is shared, where healing is given to the sick, where food is given to the hungry, where light is given to the blind, and where liberty is given to the captive and oppressed.

ALL: WE BELIEVE The resurrection of Jesus Christ has overcome the power of death and gives assurance of life after death. And we look forward to His coming again in all fullness and glory to make all creation new and to gather all the faithful under God's Kingdom. AMEN.

CALL TO OFFERING
LEADER: God of peace, In Christ you bring light to illumine the nations. He makes your will known to all who believe. PEOPLE: We come in response to his cares to us. Seeking to follow and fulfill his commands. Accept the gifts we offer as symbols of our commitment; sanctify them wholly, that they may be used as you desire. UNISON: Mold us and use us as instruments of your will. May all that we do be in accord with the Gospel of Him you have sent.
