Safety Rules
Escape routes in case of fire are aval Fence around moving machines No emp of women & children on moving machines Crane operations, elect poles & safety ensured Floors, stairs & hand rails are ok Pits/sumps secured/covered No excessive weights lifted Safety of eyes Safety for dust, gas, inflamable fumes etc No exposure to excessive temprature

Working Hours
Normal factory - 48 hours/week (without overtime) Seasonal factory - 50 hours/week (without overtime) Must give one holiday/week Daily Working hours limit 9 hours Seasonal factory 10 hours/day, one hours rest Register of adult workers, child workers Child (12 years) not to work more than 5 hours/day Women working hours 6 a.m to 7 p.m Overtimes record registers Restriction on double employment

Powers of Inspector
Subject to any rules made by the Provincial Govt in this behalf, an inspector may within the local limits for which he is appointed: Enter with such assistants (if any), being persons in the service of the State or of any municipal or other public authority. As he thinks fit, any place which is or which he has reason to believe to be used as a factory or capable of being declared to be a factory under provisions of Sections Make such examination of the premises and plant and of any prescribed registers and take on the spot or such evidence of persons as he may deem otherwise necessary for carrying out the purposes of this Act and Exercise such other powers as may be necessary for carrying out the purposes of this Act Provided that no one shall be required under this section to answer any question or give any evidence tending to criminate himself

Certifying Surgeons
The provincial Government may appoint such registered medical practitioners as it thinks fit to be certifying surgeons for the purposes of this Act with in such local limits as it may assign to them respectively

Provision of Canteens
Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power such rules may provided for: The date by which such canteen shall be provided The standards in respect of construction, accommodation, furniture and other equipment of the canteen The foodstuffs to be served therein and the charge which may be made Representation of the workmen in the management of the canteens Discounts and subsidies
