Biography of Franz Kafka


Franz Kafka was born 3 of July of 1883 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Died: 3 of June 1924, the cause of the death was tuberculosis Kafka was born in German speaking middle class Jewish family He was eldest out of the six children in the family: which were two brothers and three sisters. Both of the brothers died in infancy and his three sisters died in concentration camps. The writers father Herman Kafka was physically abusive, and many times he directed his anger towards Franz. All his life Franz struggled to come to terms with his father, who worked as businessman. His mother was well educated Kafka was educated in German school in Prague Kafka obtained a Doctor of law degree In 1907 Franz Kafka started working in insurance company where he had very intense time schedule from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. 1908 he changed his workplace and worked in another insurance company. Franz Kafka always used to describe his work as just a job that pays bills and pays for food. He never really enjoyed working in any of his workplaces. Franz Kafka was married with Felice Bauer, but divorced in 1917. Kafka suffered from tuberculosis It is also clear that Kafka were suffering from clinical depression and social anxiety throughout his entire life. As well as migraines, insomnia, constipation, boils. He had many treatments as vegetarian diet and consumption of large quantities of unpasteurized milk. Franz Kafka used to collect pornography He published The Metamorphosis in 1915 Franz Kafka wrote a letter to his father, but it never reached him.

Franz Kafka was living with his parents same as the mane character Gregor. He refers Grete to his sister Ottla, who took care of him after he was diagnosed with tuberculosis. Franz Kafka hated his family, which also appears in The metamorphosis

Gregors metamorphosis into bug shows his wall against society. Franz Kafka suffered from social anxiety. That links to his character Gregor.

The Metamorphosis is full of Franz Kafkas references from his real life, which Gives and image that an author was writing about himself. Franz Kafka absolutely hated his family, home and himself. To express that in the animation, I started looking at the places he lived before to get some reference for my designs mood and style
